Re: playing ipod?

Ha! Finally got it to work. I did end up using the black cable i originally tried, (this is the one is used to use in my ford to play my ipod)

So instead of the usb cable I'm using the aux input and it's working fine.

Now to figure out how to download the music into the system........LOL!

PS-still waiting for my hard copy manuals from Jeep, ordered last week.
I could really use them right now!.....LOL!!

It's very easy to add music to the hard drive. Grab a USB Drive, make a folder for each playlist you wish to make, add music to those folders then drag them over to your USB Drive. After that, go to your Jeep, hit menu on the unit, then go to Manage Music or something like that. Add Music to Hard Drive, it should then ask which folders from the USB you want to add to it.

(Again this is off my head, I'm sure the names on the options are different but you should get where I'm going)

Re: playing ipod?

So, is it confirmed then that 2nd gen iPod Nano (2 GB) won't work via USB to iPod cord on the 730N RHR? And if true, then you can't charge or play iPod through the stereo controls?

Anyone know? Jeep.com says the 730N RHR MY2011 supports playback through the head unity of Ipod Nano 2nd Gen via USB in console or up front. My 2012 does neither. I am having my dealer check into this and they said my 730N RHR does not have support for Ipod Nano 2nd Gen, but agree that it should. They are checking with Chrysler/Jeep on how to resolve this.
