Possible Fix for sleeping AMP

To those who have a 2014-2015 GC with amp 9 speakers stereos and notice that changing Equalizer settings for bass/mid/trebly seems to wake the amp up it appears there is a fix for 2014-2015 models

Re: Possible Fix for sleeping AMP

Thank you for this. I just picked up my new 15 Altitude today and had them do this update. My buddy has a Durango with the issue so I knew it existed. They looked this bulletin up and said they'd take care of it. I'll update once I hear it.

Re: Possible Fix for sleeping AMP

Thanks. I have the same issue on my two month old Altitude. Glad to hear there is a fix.

I have one other audio issue. I have a first generation iPod touch hooked up through USB. Even if the song playback button is stopped and a different application is selected, the iPod will always start playing when the vehicle is restarted.

Re: Possible Fix for sleeping AMP

Seemed to have worked as I have no issues on the new car. Took them less than 30 minutes. I would show them or print out the bulletin as only one guy out of 5 I talked to was aware of it.

About friggin' time! Now if they would PLEASE fix the SD card shuffle bug so I don't have to poke that button every time I get in the car!

Re: Possible Fix for sleeping AMP

Mine does this too. Does this mean the amp hasn't been working unless I happen to adjust the EQ?

I believe it's working but not at full power for the selected volume level.

Re: Possible Fix for sleeping AMP

Can this be performed with RAX installed? or do I have to uninstall it first. Anyone knows.

Re: Possible Fix for sleeping AMP

id suspect its unrelated- but i'd rollback anyway- heaven forbid they brick something and RAX happens to be installed- they'll blame that and try to charge you for their mess up.

Also there's no reason to let FCA know about RAX even if it's a dealer tech stumbling on it. Years ago you could buy the nav dvd's then change a few bits with a hex editor for an "in-motion" hack on the dvd based systems. After a few years chrysler found out and changed things so that was no longer possible. So no reason to let them know about RAX so they can try and kill it too.
