Problems with 730N in 2013 Overland

I took an 1800 mile road trip in my 2013 Overland GC last week. First off let me say that Jeep did amazing. I even got rear-ended but the other vehicle hit square on the receiver hitch and didn't leave a mark on the Jeep, now the Chevy that hit me shows the impact! Anyway, the issue I am having is with my radio, the 730N system. Twice it cut out and wouldn't play. Both times involved listening to music on a USB device. Has anyone else had issue with their system locking up? Is there any type of solution for it?

Re: Problems with 730N in 2013 Overland

Welcome to my world. Purchased a 2013 overland with 730N from San Antonio, Texas. Travelled to Mexico, crossed the border and system will not work. Resets itself constantly. Took it to 2 dealerships in Mexico and they couldn't resolve the issue. Called Uconnect direct and they say it is because we are in a different region and the Uconnect system is programmed for a certain region!!!! They said that I would have to purchase a Uconnect Unit in Mexico for it to work!!!! That's right purchase a $2,637 USD unit while in Mexico to have with the region setting and then you can use your GPS system, Hands-free and also listen to Radio!!! This is totally unacceptable and a jeep is designed for road trips!!! I am also asking if there is a solution to this issue or a way to bypass the system to allow it to work in different countries!!

Hey darkdoom, that blows. My issues were all in the US, so I feel your pain. I am going to try a few different things to see if it works and I will let you all know.

Please let me know if you find anything. I will let you know if the local Uconnect system works outside the US.
