I was just going to ask if you needed to supply a credit card.

I hate "opt-out" free trials where if you don't go back and cancel at the end, they ding you for a monthly payment.

I would love to see "opt-out" be made illegal. The whole opt-out scheme relies on people forgetting they opted in for a trial so they can get at least one full payment out of them.

The worst part is when they don't cancel when you tell them to. I once had to get a new card from my credit card company in order to get the charges to stop from a monthly service that would not cancel.

This is opt-out. You need to cancel this or you'll be sent a bill.

That was my point.

That's why I was wondering if you needed to enter a credit card.

If I don't have to enter one, they can't charge me without my permission.

Re: Promotional Trial for Uconnect

The remote start success rate through Uconnect is at about 30% for me. Most of the time I only get a "vehicle can't be located" message. It's nice when it works though.

The wait time is terrible for me though, never got that message can't be located. I probably won't be paying for service after this trial...

I get it on my 2016 Ram as well. I could see if it's in a parking structure somewhere, but out in an open parking lot, come on. I'd probably pay for the service if the reliability was improved. I really like to have the interior nice and warm for my wife, who is ALWAYS cold. The Pandora app through Uconnect is nice WHEN it connects as well. Just get some of the bugs worked out FCA.

I only got the "can't be found" message once. However, I pretty much gave up on the app due to the horribly long wait for it to do its thing.

I felt like a fool one day showing it off to someone. We were right next to our vehicles and I showed him the option on the app. Some 2 minutes later, the Jeep finally started.

About that time, he gave me a wicked grin, hauled out his key fob and started up his own car immediately.

To be honest, the fob gets really good range for me. I can be a good football field away from the Jeep at work and it starts right up and is actually comfortable by the time I get to it. I'm not the type to let my vehicle run for 10 minutes or more while I wait for the snow to melt off it, so I start it as I approach and by the time I'm swept the snow off, the system is already working on the ice so scraping is much quicker and easier.

At home, I have a garage, so I'm not using it there - and it wouldn't find the Jeep anyway in there even if I was compelled to open the door and fire up the engine.

The range on my fob is incredible as well. I've never seen a remote like it.

I was hopping my new Ram would be the same, but unfortunately it's not.

Re: Promotional Trial for Uconnect

Bought my GC in June, Uconnect has expired, but for some reason they want my $15. Not sure why I can't get the 2 months.

Tried my auto start once. Did nothing. Ten minutes later I hear something. Damn thing started and running in the garage with the door shut, uninstalled the app and will never use it again. 15,s come with 5 years so it's free. They can keep it
