Question re car wash and antenna

1) My dealer told me that I did not have to remove the antenna when going through a car wash? Any thoughts about that?

2) If I want to remove the antenna, does it just unscrew?

3) If I remove the antenna before going through a car wash, are there any issues with water/soap causing problems at the antenna opening?

Thanks.

Re: Question re car wash and antenna

I take mine through the car wash with antenna still in place. Been through at least a dozen times without any problems. One time I lowered it to park mode, but it doesn't make a difference.

Re: Question re car wash and antenna

I took mine off once and noticed it had semi-soft detents to keep it from backing off on its own. It will make a bit of a clicking noise when you detach and re-attach it but it just screws right off for the most part.
