Radio upgrade from 130 RES to 430 RBZ

I found a good deal on a 430 RBZ head unit from a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. My 2012 JGC Laredo E came equipped w/ the base RES with factory Uconnect, Sirius and USB. The part number on the RBZ radio is 5064685AI.

Although I have been assured this came from a 11 JGC I can't cross reference that part number to any threads or well known websites. Can somebody confirm if this upgrade will be plug and play for me with Uconnect, Sirius and center console USB continuing to work? Based on my research, since this is a 2011 radio, I shouldn't have to worry about a security code. But I understand I will need to have the unit coded by the dealer for full feature functionality?

My primary purpose for this upgrade would be to add to add the factory backup camera. I presume this camera can be retrofitted? Will this require another trip to the dealer? If so, maybe I will just have them install the camera when they code the unit?

Thanks,

Re: Radio upgrade from 130 RES to 430 RBZ

Look for part number 5064685A the last letter is rev level.

That part number seems to corresponds with the RBZ,RSC (AM/FM/DVD/HDD/MP3/SDARS/RR CAMERA, [RBZ,RSC] ) ,

The plain RBZ PN 05064683A* does not have the SDARS. SDARS is the SIRIUS satellite radio receiver.

Thanks for the confirmation. It sounds like the right unit.

I picked it up for $250, it was a new car sale take out. I can't get burned too bad...

Re: Radio upgrade from 130 RES to 430 RBZ

Got the RBZ unit installed today part no 5064685AI - It worked perfectly, 100% plug and play with my vehicle equipped with factory uconnect and sirius. Took all of 15 minutes to get the dash panel and radios swapped around. Vehicle looks less like a rental car now.

Just scheduled an appointment for Monday, having my local Jeep dealer install the rear view camera kit. Total price installed is $365.

Re: Radio upgrade from 130 RES to 430 RBZ

I found a dealer outside Chicago who had sold some upgrades to navigation and wanted to get rid of their stock of take-out non-navigation units. Since I've posted this they are now all sold out... Please no more PM's asking for my source
