Rear OEM Camera

Is there any way to somehow bypass the system, and enable the rear facing camera via the 8.4 screen at will/when i feel like it?

You mean for when there's a hot chick in the car behind & you don't want to look obvious with your reverse lights on right? Or is that just my logic lol

Re: Rear OEM Camera

Great question. I'd like to known as well. I can do it on my 16' Ram 1500 so why not on the JGC?

Rear OEM Camera

Lock pick allows for that and many other features.

There's a couple different options now, google lockpick or search on here for great info.

MYGIG
Thanks for the link. I had a feeling it would be something like this, or maybe even the Tazer.

Sucks that the 2014 software is older and does not allow for this stock. And it can't be upgraded to the 2017 version because I believe its a newer generation 8.4 touch screen.

Re: Rear OEM Camera

Also, the Tazer Unlocker will allow you to switch on the backup camera (double-click MUTE button).

There isn't always power to the backup cam by default (speed/time lockout), so it's not necessarily available full time with out modification.

Re: Rear OEM Camera

I'm going to jump on your thread instead of starting another since your thread title is perfect for this question as well, but has anyone replaced their Camera with a better one? The Camera on my MY14 Regal GS is spectacular, this one is horrible..especially at night.
