I got it working on a few Ram trucks.

Send me a VIN.

I really wonder if I'm going to find a harness in the hatch.

The Ram requires this because they dont put the same harness in the bed of every truck. This is partially due to the variety of bed and other options on Ram's that comes as Chassis Cabs only. From reasing the postings by JeepGuy_1980 it seems that the harness in the trunk of the JGC is consistent from model to model, only the small harness from the camera to the main plug in the rear and the camera itself are missing. The trim plate needs to be replaced as its all molded in such a way that the camera mounts to it, not just the black trim piece as I had hoped. I will take as many pictures as I can post and fill in the details when the parts get here.

JeepGuy can do the real check, but if its a 2014 Lareado it has the wiring. The question is really around your stereo. I know the 8.4N (RA3) stereo in the Laredo with the wheel and stero upgrade package can do it, but have not done any research on the 5" screens.

Thats what I have as well so you should be good to go. If you want to wait for me to finish my install and post the write up, I will plan to have it done no later than Turkey Weekend. I will likely have to wait till just after that to get the reflash done by the dealer.

JeepGuy ran a VIN check for me as my screen is the 5", and he told me my Laredo is good.

If anyone with the 5" or 8.4" screen gets this done, can post your process/pics? After nearly running over the beyond short woman last week leaving the gym, I'm thinking I should make this mod a priority.

For once we actually catch a break for having black Forrest green!
I do have a question however. When typing the part number for black forrest green applique into my dealers website it says that part number has been superceded, should I be worried at all about the part not working or fitting right?
