"remote" usb port - 130s/res

Hi everyone - I bought a used 2011 JGC that has the 130S/RES uconnect system installed. I can't seem to find the "remote usb port" that is mentioned in the description and I forgot to ask the dealer about it. Figured someone here could point me in the right direction. I checked in the center console and in the glove box, I think it may be internal somewhere.

Thanks!

Does your Jeep have Navigation & touch screen radio? If so there is a tab labeled "pull" to the right of the screen above the auxiliary port.
The USB is under the tab.

No NAV/touch screen. It's the basic uconnect with satellite radio model.

Re: "remote" usb port - 130s/res

The armrest in the center console opens two ways. The upper compartment has the USB connector at the back.

My '12 is the same and added a tablet with Torque, sat-nav, and 12GB of music plus a rear view camera. Does everything I want it to do and can move the tab to other cars.

Am slowly bringing the rest of my cars into the Bluetooth world, already fixed the Crossfire & just added to the '90 vert.

Padgett - thanks for the advice but the back of my top compartment doesn't have the USB port. Any other ideas?

Re: "remote" usb port - 130s/res

What trim is it? I believe the remote USB port only comes in the higher level trim, definitely not in the E.

Re: "remote" usb port - 130s/res

It's the basic trim. I just spoke with chrysler and they checked the "Build List" for my VIN and apparently there is no USB port in my car.

Any idea if there's any way to install one?

THANKS!
