I still have the MTX one that I took pictures of earlier in this thread. PM me if interested.

Re: Replaced my 2014 Overland Dash Speaker

I have an extra 3.5 for whoever wants it. It's a Kicker DS35 and it fits and sounds perfect. My setup:

Focal IS165 in front doors
Focal 165A1SG in rear doors
Alpine SPR10TW tweeters in rear pillars
JL XD4004 amp
Kenwood X5001 amp
LC6i converter
JL stealthbox sub

Dash speaker replacement is a very nice compliment to what I think is a pretty awesome audio experience in my WK2. I'll ship my extra Kicker to anyone who will pay whatever it costs me to pack and ship. Send me a PM if interested.
BTW, for anybody in SoCal, I got all my gear for quite a bit less than what I see it advertised on places like Crutchfield, Amazon, etc. For example, paid $450 OTD for Stealthbox. PM me for info on the place in OC. Peace.

Re: Replaced my 2014 Overland Dash Speaker

Is everyone just buying the 4-ohm dash speakers? Do they make a 2-ohm 3.5''?

I just finished the install in about 40 minutes.. The socket set I was using barely fit in between the windshield and it took about 30 minutes of wiggling and hand loosening to get the bolts out.

I used a plastic kitchen spatula to lift up the grill -- that part was simple. (Wife's idea lol)

This Crutchfield adapter worked great! Took about 10 seconds to connect.

Anyhow the Polk sounds AWESOME!! What a difference for music.. It's so much clearer. I hadn't even made a phone call yet.

Thank you Marcodame for hooking me up with your spare!

This is a great mod for sure!

Did you get the speaker adapter for free? Crutchfield says the speaker doesn't fit so it's not offering adapters for me.

Re: Replaced my 2014 Overland Dash Speaker

Whomever you spoke to at Crutchfield is clueless. The 3 1/2 speakers people have used here (including my MTX from Crutchfield) fit without any problems whatsoever. And yes, they should give you a harness with any speaker purchase, reagrdless of how wrong their computer database is. The correct harness for the dash is:

Note that for the door speakers the harness adapter is different:

Metra 71-049 Speaker Wiring Adapters Work with select 1999-up vehicles — connect new speakers to factory wiring plugs at Crutchfield.com

Re: Replaced my 2014 Overland Dash Speaker

I was ordering from their website. The site itself wasn't allowing me to get the harness. However, I started a chat with a representative and he straightened it out for me. The Polk DXi350 are on sale for $29.99 shipped!

Just ordered the DXi350 for $30 from Crutchfield. Had to change the car online to the Dodge Dart (ha!) with the 9 speaker stereo for them to allow the harness at no charge (metra 71-039).
