Re: Replaced my 2014 Overland Dash Speaker

I'm a little late to this one but I am trying to locate a Polk dxi350.

They seem to be no longer available at a fair price. What's a good equivalent?

BTW...if anyone has one they want to sell, please PM me. Thanks!

What socket size is used to remove the dash screws that attach the stock speaker ?? Having big hands doesn't make it any easier that's for sure.

I ended up biting the bullet and getting a pair for a lot more than I should have paid. I have the connectors coming in from Crutchfield shortly. If anyone is interested in the extra speaker, PM me and we can work something out.

Re: Replaced my 2014 Overland Dash Speaker

I would like to try this mod. Does anyone know if the Kicker brand on crutchfield are any good?

Re: Replaced my 2014 Overland Dash Speaker

Has anyone used a speaker other than the Polk DXi350? I found a few others that appear to be a good fit, namely, Hertz DCX 87.3, any reason this wouldn't work?

The only thing I'd look out for is the mounting depth. I noticed the dxi350 fit but just barely.

How much depth space is available? What's the real depth of the Polk? Based on what I've found the polk is 42.8 MM or 1 11/16.

Honestly not sure. There's not much extra.
