Anyone do the infinity? How did it sound and how easy was it to accomplish?

Anyone have one to split? I'm thinking of generally replacing many of the key speakers with Infinity speakers.

Re: Replaced my 2014 Overland Dash Speaker

Ok, just ordered my Infinity Reference 3002CFXs. Haven't decided yet if I want to install this myself or pay a shop.

After I'm done installing mine and verify that everything works, I'll be happy to sell the remaining one to someone on here for a reasonable price.

One of these: Infinity Reference 3002cfx 3.5" speakers (to replace the 3.5" in the dash)

I'm also replacing the front door and rear door speakers with Infinity Kappa 62.11i (150W 6.5" 2-Way Kappa Series Coaxial Speakers w/ Edge Driven Textile Tweeters) and Infinity Kappa 693.11i (220W 6x9" 3-Way Kappa Series Coaxial Speakers w/ Edge-Driven UTF Tweeters) but that's for another thread.

Are you also doing the front pillar tweeters?

No, at least not for now. I think I'm going to install all this, see where I am. I don't see a great tweeter option that falls in with my other choices.

Re: Replaced my 2014 Overland Dash Speaker

I can't even really hear the highs in the stock system, sometimes I wonder if they're even working. Some folks have use the focal tweeters with some saying they're great and some saying they can be a bit bright until they break themselves in.

My hope is the combo of that new 3.5" and the front 6x9s will on their own cover the highs dramatically. Yes, the pillar tweeters would continue to be a weak spot.

Re: Replaced my 2014 Overland Dash Speaker

I changed the dash speaker with a Polk ,sounds better during phone calls,I'm just waiting to decide what to put in the front pillar tweeters and the doors. I'll probably have a reputable shop do the work so that I'm pretty sure it's done correctly and will have recourse in case it isn't. I was also considering the rear pillar speakers..starting with that kind of setup without an amp. Just an upgrade over what came from the factory.
