Re: Replaced my 2014 Overland Dash Speaker

Nope, those would be fine. Nice sensitivity rating of 92db as well.

Those were on my short list, but found the Polk's on Amazon so I get free 2 day shipping.

It's amazing that the dash takes that sized speaker it seems like a 3.5 inch coaxial would be too big, especially with it dropping right in with no mods.

Re: Replaced my 2014 Overland Dash Speaker

Ordered my Polk 3.5 dash speaker. Any advice on removing the plastic piece over the speaker. Do I have to worry about breaking any clips off of it while removing. Thanks guys, I definately feel the front center was a little muddled sounding and am looking forward to this upgrade.

Start on one side of the plastic piece and pry up until you can get your fingers under there. Use a plastic or somehow padded tool so you don't scratch the plastic or dash.

Once it's up, use common sense and don't yank it off, or pull on the far right end to remove a clip on the left side. Just go slowly from one side to the other, lifting inch by inch and you'll be fine.

You'll feel silly for asking once you see how easy it is...don't worry

Re: Replaced my 2014 Overland Dash Speaker

Very easy install, just in case anyone wants to know, crutchfield includes the wiring harness that plugs into the jeep harness, no wire cutting and adding connectors required. My wife said phone conversations are much improved and not as muffled sounding. Not sure about music yet though. I have the other polk Dxi 350 speaker and harness for anyone that wants it. 20$ including shipping. Pm if interested.

Challenger. The speaker grill and dash vents are one piece. It all just snaps in and snaps out. The speaker is just screwed down. You'll need a small socket.
