Mine is still available, what is easiest and cheapest way to ship the speaker?

Re: Replaced my 2014 Overland Dash Speaker

Use a free box that's provided at the US. post office. Should be about 3-5 bucks with tracking included.😎 The box is free the service isn't 😂

That's good to know! I just found my pair I bought for my WJ before I sold it. Gonna put one in and see how it sounds for myself.

Re: Replaced my 2014 Overland Dash Speaker

Anyone try to fit a 4" coax in the dash to replace the 3.5" from factory? If so which make and model did you squeeze in there?

Re: Replaced my 2014 Overland Dash Speaker

Greetings,

It might be tight. You might have to trim either the metal of the speaker or inside the dash a little. My HAT L3SE is just shy of 4" and it fit with no problems.

Best for now.

Re: Replaced my 2014 Overland Dash Speaker

If anyone has an extra (since they're sold in pairs) that isn't being used, I'd purchase it off of them. I can paypal and live in Pennsylvania.

Replaced my 2014 Overland Dash Speaker

Just swapped mine, ordered Infinity REF-3002cfx speakers and Metra 71-039c from crutchfield, installation was super easy. Not impressed with this speaker though. Was fine at first but now (day 3) I'm noticing a lot of static from it. Ordered some PAC bass blockers for 3.5" speakers from Amazon, hopefully it helps it out.

You don't need bass blockers, total waste of money. The center channel is already crossover by the stock amp. If you have static check your connection on the speaker and or maybe try swapping the speaker for the other one that came with the set. It's possible the speaker you used is defective out of the box.

Re: Replaced my 2014 Overland Dash Speaker

Connected the 2nd speaker today, and I was not getting the static I was with the first. And honestly I think I blew the first one somehow. Because i remember the first 2 days it was fine. Regardless, returning these speakers and gonna get the Polk from somewhere else. I only got these infinity speakers because crutchfield didn't have the Polks anymore.

Don't man! I had the Polk db351 and upgraded to the infinity 3002cfx. Night and day difference how much better of a speaker the infinity is! The Polk sounds so flat in comparison. Ps the infinity cane with bass blockers taped to the bottom of the foam housing they are shipped in. I didn't use them.
