Replacing head unit

Dealer is replacing the head unit this coming Saturday. My GPS got lost & the car phone keeps saying it needs service. They tried the latest s/w update and it froze at the Air Card step 3 times. They gave it back with a completely blank screen. No radio, no controls, etc. I was able to get the radio to reset by pulling the update USB I had in the reset step. Question is: what about my uConnect access & SiriusXM. Will they automatically restore that. And how many more head units will I need????

Re: Replacing head unit

I'm on my 4th head unit. They should update uconnect and Sirius for you, if not you can call Sirius and they will do it but you will need the replacement head #.

Re: Replacing head unit

Thanks for the feedback. Sorry to hear you've had 4 head units replaced. I wonder if they replace them with new or reconstituted from poop units??? I certainly hope I don't get to know everyone in the dealer's service department by first name!

Re: Replacing head unit

The head unit is replaced and appears to function OK. Hopefully this one will last longer...
