Noticed a new update, generously supplied by Sox over on the unofficial MyGig site http://mofv.com/mygig/BBS/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=6266. It's a big download, almost 3GB. According to Sox it can be loaded on a USB flash to update the RHR just like the last update he provided.
I will attempt the update Friday, hopefully some better album art is in here!
Is there any other option for downloading this? I've tried 4 computers, 3 browsers, and 2 different physical locations on separate ISPs and I can't get to www.mydrive.ch ever.

I sympathize with your frustration. Send me a PM with a name and mailing address. I will mail you the downloaded, unzipped GN 4118 file, burned to DVD. I used a USB stick with the same file, but you should be able to directly insert the DVD, and update to GN 4118.
Just be sure your RHR is already updated to the 2.12 operating system. I think that's what Sox said needs to be done before the 4118 update will work.
Anyone else that might have the problem I had with resolving the domain here's what I narrowed it down to. Comcast and Qwest seem to not resolve .ch domains, once I switched to Google DNS servers things worked well.
Lingo, thanks for that update. Sorry you are unable to get this straightened out. What good does it do to install a refurb if the problem has not been corrected? With all of the complaints on this issue, it is hard to believe Chrysler doesn't have a real fix in place. They have been pretty good about taking care of all of the other issues people have had.
My presets and memories are still holding since I installed 2.120 so I guess I can live with the smaller HDD and old version of Gracenotes.
Our helpful dealer bumped our RHR problem up to Star status and tried to get a brand new unit. But Chrysler refused, saying they know there are problems with the RHR even with v2.120 (which they say has introduced some new glitches). They claim they "may" have a TSB "sometime in the future." Well, the vanishing presets issue has been around since February of 2011, so... And the RHR, with its small display, is probably a sunset model unlikely to get much more engineering attention.
The dealer is ordering another refurb RHR, as there's really no other option other than doing nothing.
Radio issues aside, did another 1,500 mile long weekend trip to Charlotte, and as usual the Overland was flawless. I use the cruise control so much, even around home, that I'm beginning to do most driving with my fingers.
Edit: Forgot to mention that one of the problems Chrysler says it is having with v2.120 is that some units with 2.120 show Gracenotes disappearing, showing NA. So, here we are, having gone full circle!
I had my 730N replaced last week(different issue). All the same problems still exist. Favorites(green star) are a joke. As soon as I turn off my car they are all erased except for one saved gas station.
I successfully downloaded and updated both the 2.120 RHR software update and the gracenotes 4118 update. For reference, I updated this to a 2012 Chrysler Town and Country that is one month old. The most important thing for me was to do the following things:
#1 Burn the DVD's at 1.0 speed. ( 4.0 speed did not work )
#2 Install the software update first as instructed.
#3 Install gracenotes last. ( I also eliminated the .txt from the GNUPDATE file name. )
The software update did fail during the first load at the file called "Updating HDD sys/tts...", however, I did not panic and the software load process automatically restarted and was able to successfully exectute and complete during the second pass. The impact of the gracenote 4118 update was dramatic. Now I have about 60%-70% of album art for my songs when before I had about 5%. That was a huge improvement. In fact it is so good that now I want album art for 100% of my songs. Thank you *Sox* for letting us participate in these updates.
Regarding GRACENOTES. It's kind of odd that on one hand, I have all of the album art myself for my 1000 songs on my Zune and IPod, but can't load it myself into MyGig and must depend on gracenotes. I can see the benefit of gracenotes, but that is the downside for the mandatory reliance on it. Thanks again. A lengthy but great learning experience.

Electrafast
I have been researching why I cannot get album art to display unless I copy the music directly from the original CD. It will not display when downloaded from a copied CD, or from a thumbdrive copied and formated from my iTunes library per the Chrysler instructions.
The album art from the copied CD's and the thumbdrive will display on my PC, both my laptops, my iPad and iPod. It will not display on the GC medial center. I even tried copying the album art folder from my iTune library onto the HDD.
Anyway, last night I noticed this in the 730N RHR Media Center Manual (page 57). So I guess we are all just screwed on album art, unless you want to take forever to manually copy each original CD to your HDD, which takes 15 - 25 minutes each. If anyone has found or can prove otherwise, please speak up. I have contacted both Gracenotes and JeepCares, and they both point their fingers at the other. In other words, they are both clueless and Jeep really does NOT Care. Jeep also told me that there are no Gracenotes updates available for the 430N or 730N yet, even after I sent them a photo of the 730N doing the update.
And of course, album art will not display if the album was issued since the latest release date. Personally, I have given up on album art and have a jpg picture of my grandkids displayed on the screen instead.

Success!!!! First congratulations to "sox" for providing the files. Second- "electrafast" your instructions worked for me. I had tried several USBs, but never got them to work. I had tried five DVDs, but never thought to lower the speed and delete "txt". My burner would only go down to 2x speed, but it worked great. Update was less than 30 minutes and would agree with what others are saying that my album art is now around 60% to 70%.
I am quickly coming to the conclusion that gracenotes for album art falls short of any reasonable expectation. I think one weekend I'll list the displayed art with the songs it is matching up to. I'd say it's about 5% wrong for the 60% to 70% that actually match up to something. At first its kind of funny, (Example: Elvis for the Bangles), but it is getting annoying, given that about 30% to 40% is missing altogether for me. And I'm certainly much better off than the 5% that most folks realize before applying the recent 4118 update. After reviewing the gracenotes web site, I couldn't find anything that conveys to me a sense of urgency to fix this stuff, or even how they define customer satisfaction. The only expectation conveyed is to have no reliance on their ability to do anything from the lengthy legaleze within the owners manual of the car I bought. With performance this poor, this has got to be an opportunity for a software developer to allow folks like me to utilize my existing album art on Zune and I-Tunes to populate the database on my new radio HDD with album art that I already have.
any idea why the installation won't begin on my RHR? I put the unzipped files on DVD and on a flash drive. I tried installing from DVD, but the system just sees the DVD as "data". It never begins an installation.
I then took the DVD out and put in the FAT32 flash drive. The light on the flash drive lights up, but again, the installation does not start.
Do I need to do something else to get the installation to physically begin?
You need to install from a DVD, not a CD. I really did everything as posted on 4-18-2012 and it worked. I have an RHR radio. I tried the USB, but did not work for me. The DVD method worked fine.
I figured it out after reading back through this page. You have to remove the ".txt" file extension from the gnupdate.txt file. The system will only recognize that it's supposed to start an update if .txt is removed from gnupdate.txt.
To those with absolutely no computer savvy: right click on gnupdate.txt, left-click "rename", then backspace the ".txt" portion of the file name. It will warn you not to change the file extension - ignore this warning and complete the rename. Then recopy the files to a DVD or USB.
I removed the .txt on the usb drive, and it started right up. Worked like a charm!
I have followed this thread until it ran out and SOX offered email help...sounds like I am in the very same situation...can you help me resolve this issue??
Thanks!
Yes, took the USB out, the whole system had re-booted. Gracenotes shows that its 1%updated..now it just continues to reboot. I've removed the fuse, disconnected the battery, tried everything I've read on this thread. Just made an appointment to go see dealer on Friday. I dread that...dont really have time for it, but looks like there's no alternative.
Well, after attempting to update my GN database, I had to take my Jeep to the dealer. They ordered me a new unit, should be installed today or tomorrow. Not sure what happened...It just started rebooting over and over.
Findirman - Did you ever find a way to restore Gracenote to your RHR? I had the same thing happen to me while upgrading 3265 to 4118, now I have nothing.
I've formatted a USB to Fat32 and copied only .iso file.
I was going to update the software to 2.700 first and then Gracenote 6168 but thought I'd check with you first. Will this work with UK version of the UConnect?
Many thanks
Kindest regards
Jay
