RHR Nav Voice Command Understands Nothing

Ever since I updated to 2.126 the Nav doesn't come up with any results that are even remotely close to what I am looking for. It's as if I"m suddenly speaking a foreign language. UConnect phone and radio commands seem to be fine. I guess I'll try going through the learning dialogue and see if that helps.

Re: RHR Nav Voice Command Understands Nothing

Hmmm, that sounds disturbing as one of the touted features of the update was 'Point of interest (POI) Search enhancements.'

I have a 730N running v2.120 and the nav POI search voice recognition isn't great but does at least work for very common names like McDonalds or Wal-Mart.

I certainly wouldn't want it to be any worse with v2.126

I carefully did the voice training using the original version v1.911 that came with the car and have updated once since then.

It didn't occur to me to retrain and/or that that data might be overwritten, that's an interesting question.

My experience is the same with regard to phone voice commands, the name recognition is far better there.

One command it always understands is "cancel".

Re: RHR Nav Voice Command Understands Nothing

I went through the voice training, engine running, windows closed, fan off, in Park. Now, it doesn't even understand the word "find", which it always did before. It thinks I'm saying "line". I think I'll reset it back to factory specs.

Re: RHR Nav Voice Command Understands Nothing

Thanks for the followup, will be very interested to hear how things progress (or regress).

I suppose worst case and/or a sanity check would be to go back to the previous version.

What was that version by the way?

I started a thread asking about these very kinds of issues and have gotten zero replies.

Software Update MyGIG RHR-RHW-RHP Units / Version 2.126

There are at least a couple of other releated threads filled with posts about having successfully completed the update (not particularly interesting) but nothing about the important stuff like actual observed changes and/or comments about the actual feature list.

Re: RHR Nav Voice Command Understands Nothing

I played around with it again today. It seems to understand the standard commands (other than "find") that are included in the voice training. It doesn't understand anything not covered in the voice training. I have an appt. tomorrow for the QL. I guess I'll ask them but I already know the answer.
