We purchased our new GC Overland in November and quickly found the sat nav doesn't work with a major routing problem. Fine if we stayed within Canberra. But try to drive a major highway to the coast (app 150kms) and it insists on going via Sydney (app 550km). Took it to the local dealer who confirmed the problem with no known fix and had seen another new Jeep just like it the same morning.
Having viewed this forum, it is a well known problem and documented problem.
Jeep Customer Service gave me a case number but ignored my written complaint.
Jeep has knowingly advertised and sold a faulty product with no advised timeframe to fix. Likely illegal under Sections 54 and 55 of federal consumer law.
I have had discussions with the ACCC in Canberra and they are interested in taking the case forward. So if you have had this problem, I suggest you use this link to contact the ACCC: General complaints form
The more people who register with the ACCC, the better informed they will be of Jeep's consumer service.
Oh - and Shona at Fiat Chrysler Customer Relations - I am sure Jeep would prefer we didn't discuss this fault on the forum - but we would prefer you just fix our sat navs.
