satellite radio stopped working

all of a sudden i stopped getting signal. replaced antenna and nothing. dealer checked and wiring seems fine from antenna to head unit. is there a way to repair the satellite radio portion of the headhunt or does it have to be replaced? i have the nav radio without the steaming bluetooth music.

seems like an expensive head unit to replace. if i have to id rather do aftermarket with something that uses apple car play but would like to retain the steering wheel controls for phone, radio and also the viewer for the backup camera.

any solutions or ideas for either of these scenarios?

Re: satellite radio stopped working

If there's an issue with the Sirius receiver then the whole head unit needs to be replaced, it's not a separate unit.

You should contact Sirius with your radio ID and see if they can reset it for you. It might be as simple as that. Your dealer should have suggested that as well. They can even contact Sirius for you and do it if they aren't too lazy.

ok thanks, i've already contacted them and had the signal refreshed. are there any good aftermarket head units then that still will work with the backup camera and steering wheel controls?

Re: satellite radio stopped working

Sorry, I can't answer that one. Maybe some of the audiophile guys out here can answer that for you.

Or you can start checking some of the threads here... Audio/Visual/Navigation - Jeep Garage - Jeep Forum
