Ok now this looks awesome. And it's a whole lot cheaper than a full Stealthbox. I don't want the W3 that comes in it.

I have the new 2017 Trailhawk, I wonder if it will also show the other advanced vehicle pages such as the trailhawk specific ones or does it only offer the standard vehicle info?

Also what about all of the other vehicle options that are selectable through the Controls menu in the uConnect, are they available with this unit?
All the settings are still there. A little buried and not as nicely laid out, but there. The only thing I think I've lost is the rear collision sensing.

The front and rear parking sensors are a big deal to me, I can't judge tight areas for shit. Do you know if the company have plans to fix that?

Parking sensors front and rear work. The only thing I lost is that ability for the vehicle to warn you of someone approaching you from the side and to the rear. For example: if you are backing out into the street, or if you are backing out of your parking spot in a parking lot and you're next to a larger vehicle and can't see and someone is approaching. I forget what that capability is called.

Cross path detection? I thought it was the same system as the proximity sensors...

Re: Scrapped factory system

I've been thinking about doing this since Kenwood came out with their new systems and Meastro added their integration for the 2014/15 Grand Cherokee.

I have a couple questions:

1. What did you use for the 8.4 dash bezel?
I keep searching for a double din faceplate dash kit for the 2014/15 Grand Cherokees but I can't find one. That's been the one piece that has kept me from pulling the trigger. It looks to me like you used a custom piece? I keep hoping that Metra will come out with one as their kits for other cars give you more of a factory finish.
2. Do the turn directions show up on your dash?
The factory Nav displays the turn direction on the dash as well as the junction view on the Nav screen. Just wondering if Kenwood/Garmin added the dash turn integration as well.
3. Did Kenwood retain the backup lines for the backup camera?
The factory backup system turns or curves the lines based on the direction that you turn the wheel. Is this feature retained?

Thanks,

David

The stereo shop made a custom dash kit. The NAV arrows don't show up in the EVIC. I think they should based off Maestros site but they dont. The factory camera with the curving backup lines work just like stock.

Yikes. That's a huge feature to lose. That is the best part of the blind spot radar system. I'm kind of surprised you lost that feature since all that is in the head unit is to enable it or not. Which includes a whole bunch of other things that are just enabled or not. Like Front Collision, Blind Spot Warning etc.

THe factory bezel for the Laredo should work as a great replacement for a double din

Nope... You would need more than just the bezel, you would also need the control panel as the buttons are in different places. Instead of paying $35 for a bezel to convert the 8.4 window to double din, you end up paying $300+.

You can see the difference between the two here:

Grand Cherokee 8.4 Radio Bezel
