SD Card VR Song choice

With about 30 songs on the SD card 32GB, I have been able to use Voice Recognition to select the song of choice.
Each time I load a couple more songs onto the SD card, I loose that VR function for a period of time when the SD card is placed back in the vehicle.
I assume it is re-learning/loading the files so that the VR function can be used again.
Tonight I was advised by the nice lady in the system that she was loading the files and try again later.
Is there an optimum way to help in this loading procedure? EG insert SD card with power on or off..

The function should come back in a couple of days..

I get that all of the time when trying to access first thing, no new songs have been added. There are about 30GB of songs on a 64GB card. I got the fastest card I could without it being off the chart expensive. After a smallish amount of time it is ready to go.
If I access this any time but immediately it is fine.

Re: SD Card VR Song choice

Well after a trip up into the Hunter Valley over the weekend 2hrs each way, I was finally able to have the VR work on the Artist and Album selection on the drive home..
If I say "Play, Song ........" It just says "cancelled".
The songs that it would recognise and play using the above command, prior to adding the latest two songs to the card last week, will not be played using VR..
Strange, but I'll see how it goes..
At least I now have Artist and album VR selection back...

Re: SD Card VR Song choice

Do you have the latest Uconnect software update? https://rsur.extra.chrysler.com/rsur/Uconnect.do
The VR has been improved with each update.

Good thought and yes running the latest we have for AUS..

I can't complain the VR works better than any car I have owned.
The Holden sitting next to it in the shed, has a very basic VR system but its about 8 years behind the Uconnect system IMO.

I just find it strange that the system will work seamlessly after it has processed/loaded all the song "metadata"?
It just seems to take a week or so for me, so I was not sure if there was a correct way of loading the SD card to assist in the recognition process.
Eg Power off / on ect..
