Am I missing something? when I go to visual garage it doesn't have jeep in the pull-down for MAKE..

edit..

got it doing the email thing
Or use the Chrysler pull down option on JG website, it's the same paint codes as Jeep unless it's one of the new colors and then you may be outta luck, not sure.

To be fair, they don't make it out to be "as good or better." I have found them very honest. What it says on the site is

"Is VG Shark Fin Antenna functional and how does it compare to stock?
Yes! The built in fractal antenna attaches directly to your antenna base and gives you normal reception for AM and FM radio. The reception is consistently better than any stubby antenna that we tested, and virtually unchanged within the city compared to the stock antenna. However, you might notice a drop in reception when further away from the source"

I live far from the stations I listen to and have noticed no degradation though. My antenna is painted with non-metallic paint though.

I certainly would not use the above negative review as proof of anything. Some folks are never happy. I have one and it works very well. Read past posts of some of the negative folks and you'll see a pattern. I would buy one again and I have nothing to gain from saying that.

Well it is also up to OP to decide what to do, either listen to one who is not happy with this antenna based on facts and in compare to his other cars or to follow fanboys and brand lovers protecting their own interests that is not related to the antenna.

It works, but mostly looks better than original. As actual antenna it is worse product and works not as good as original.

Well, considering most radio stations in 3 state area transmitting from NYC that is assumable result, in compare just drive to Staten Island and try there near to the Outerbridge Crossing area for example and let us know if any difference. Is it part of NYC, am I right?

Not being a fanboy, but in my recent experience with the SharkFin traveling to Philadelphia, PA and listening to FM stations transmitted from NYC stations. I was able to get a fairly clear signal up to the last 20 miles or so of the trip. So objectively, and using the car 99% within a 50 mile radius of NYC. I would say it works just fine...

Did you compare same with how it works before shark fin?

+1' mine works as advertised on VG. Boonies locations are the only weaker spot relative to the flag pole antennae. It also works more effectively if you take care not to touch the Sharkfin to the base plate when mounting the unit.
