Update: I unhooked the camera from the brow and discovered my error. The retaining clips can be unscrewed to adjust the camera angles (tilt) before installation. Rookie mistake

Re: side cameras for my Jeep GC 2013.

Can you please post a picture of the camera mounted in the brow?
I'm trying to decide which type of backup camera to use.
Thanks,
Willie

Re: side cameras for my Jeep GC 2013.

In this thread, second pic from the bottom is the $20 ebay camera I installed first mounted under the brow. It came with a bit to drill the hole for the camera. I will post a pic of the Sony one later this afternoon.

Re: side cameras for my Jeep GC 2013.

Thanks for the reply Eibyer.

I'm guessing there is no getting around having to remove the tailgate trim to get the camera wires into the cab but did you remove all of the inside trim as the instruction manual says or did you find an easier way to run the camera wire to the front?

Thanks for the pictures.
Take care,
Willie

Re: side cameras for my Jeep GC 2013.

Yeah, there's really no way to do this without removing those trims. I removed the trim from the tailgate as shown on page 2 of the instructions. Also 2 other trims, the first one on page 3 and the last one on page 7. I was able to tuck the wires under the weather seal of the D pillar and then from there under the trims all the way to the front to the footwell.

One thing I'd recommend though is not to put back the tailgate and the middle headliner trims until you're absolutely done so you don't have to remove it again to troubleshoot if needed. If you're the only one who drives the GC then no one would notice that the back is bare

Some pics of after the install.
