Edit: I have no idea why its showing an April 13, 2016 time stamp. You were correct in that I downloaded the file more than once. I dragged the first ISO file I downloaded today. Downloaded it today

You should be all set, April 13th date is the date the swdl file was created/last modified before it was zipped by unconnect which makes sense that's correct. You should be good to go plug it in and as long as you formatted the usb drive as FAT you should be ready to update

Agree with this post. I too have a Mac and just did the update and had no issues. File name, date were identical. Formatting the drive to FAT is the key.

Re: Siri update now available for 2014 8.4an

Update went fine no issues. I don't use apple products but sometimes software updates can include other smaller unadvertised fixes/improvements, not saying that is definitely the case here but it usually doesn't hurt to be on the latest software version. It is strange how the written directions say be sure to not start the car for the update and the video says the car must be running. I don't think it really matters as long as the car doesn't time out in the middle of the update.

Re: Siri update now available for 2014 8.4an

Greetings,

I hate to say it, maybe FCA Uconnect division is waking up to reality?

Can CarPlay and Android Auto be next for those 2016 members?

Best for now.

Re: Siri update now available for 2014 8.4an

I may have missed a thread, but is there an update for a 2011 Siri and Uconnect to work? Sorry to post here, but if some can point me in the the right direction, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks.

LOL I do it while i'm driving home from work. Don't sit around for no reason the update can happen even while driving! Just finished loading this update on my drive today 3rd update I've applied and none have ever failed.

I also had the alpine amplifier updated today at the dealer so I can't tell if thats the reason the sound seems to be much better or this update. I'm not sure but definitely got rid of the sleepy amp symptom and the sound is noticeably better!

Re: Siri update now available for 2014 8.4an

Geez I hate the FCA site sometimes - it either returns me old firmwares for weeks or fails to let me in.

I still get the 22/9/15 15.26.1 release at the moment

Don't suppose anyone has a direct download link or has uploaded it somewhere... that's how I had to get 15.26.1 last year.

Yes, it says on the UConnect page that a dealer can take care of the update.

Having issues with new Siri Eyes Free

Garage,

Just updated to the new software and am having issues with the Siri Eyes Free feature. It seems that the microphone does not know when I stop talking and it continues to wait for more 'commands.' This did not previously happen when I would activate Siri either by pressing the Home button on the phone or saying 'Hey Siri.'

I am testing this out in my driveway with the motor off.

Is anyone having any similar issues?

I have an elaborate system in my car, so I am wondering if that's playing tricks on the microphone.

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Brian
