This did not previously happen when I would activate Siri either by pressing the Home button on the phone or saying 'Hey Siri.'

I am testing this out in my driveway with the motor off.

Is anyone having any similar issues?

I have an elaborate system in my car, so I am wondering if that's playing tricks on the microphone.

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Brian

Had a chance to play with it on my way home today. Seems to be working well.

Is this update only for the 8.4AN systems or is it for the non- nav 8.4A systems as well?

Worked great! Install was easy and took 20 min. Haven't gotten a chance to really play with the feature yet but I will.

Thanks for the help everyone!

It happens to me only if I wait for it to ask what I want to text.... Then it just waits for input constantly and never sends.

But if I say hey Siri text wifey I want a sandwich it will work. If you do it in one swoop. Otherwise mine hangs like you experienced if you do the text process step by step

New drivers for the Sierra wireless card for better cell signal. I also noticed Sirius / EQ updates being flashed. Definitely worthwhile to update even if you don't use apple products but Siri eyes free kicks ass!!!

Correct. Make sure you remove the UConnect pairing with your iPhone, reboot, then re-pair. Before I had done this, the performance was lousy as it seemed that Siri was always listening even after I'd stopped talking. Once I did that, it works just as you'd expect it to with iPhone.

From Wk2 Jeep's page:

http://www.wk2jeeps.com/tsb/tsb_wk2_0805316.pdf

It wouldn't surprise me if there were other enhancements not necessarily called out. Maybe I'm day dreaming but I thought the radio volume maxed out at 35 prior to the update. Today I noticed I could push it up to 38.

Re: Siri update now available for 2014 8.4an

I noticed the option on the phone after you pair to show notifications and to sync the contacts is missing. Are you able to still hit a button on the screen to listen to text messages?

What Alpine amplifier update? Did you have them replace the amplifier or is there an update for it?
