Re: Sirius 1/2 off

I called up today to see if I could get a free trial on mine since I just bought my WK three weeks ago used and they gave me 3 months free trial. Was actually shocked that it was 3 months was expecting at most a month. I'll wait until it expires and see what happens.

Did you have to pay the activation fee to get service again?
My subscription is about to expire and I'm considering waiting to see if I get the offer.

Re: Sirius 1/2 off

I was doing the monthly subscription. I called last night to cancel due to the price increase and they offered me half off. It came out to $7.82/month. Now that is a reasonable price.

Re: Sirius 1/2 off

I was waiting for my service to expire on the 26, But I got a call this morning from Sirius asking me if I wanted to renew. Initially I was offered the montly rate, but when I asked about a one year plan and mentioned what I had read on this forum, the guy offered me a full year for the cost of 5 months. So I did not even have to wait.
I remembered reading here about the automatic renewal issues, so I made sure I gave them a credit card that expires this year, so next year I'll have to call in to renew.
Thanks guys!

Re: Sirius 1/2 off

Bringing this thread back ..... mine is about to expire in early Sept. My prior XM subscription was $77/year (plus some royalty fee!) Called 'Win Back' promo - did it for 4 years in a row! I wonder if it will work again on the Jeep??

Same thing I normally do. Purchase 6 months at a time. Let it expire, then just call them and say you enjoy the service, but it costs too much.

Why not buy a lifetime sub??? I paid $350 Sirius + $100 Best of XM. You have to call in for the lifetime and you get 3 additional transfers to new ESNs if you buy another vehicle. Add a radio is $5.99/month and the phone app is $2.99. I have the US subscription here in Canada and I pay with CC for extra radios and app, all in USD.

I've transferred to a new ESN twice so far with no hassles.
