Sirius SXV300V1 Adapter?

I just bought a Pioneer AVIC-5000NEX unit for my 2012 GC and also bought the Sirius SXV300V1 adapter to play Sirius through that unit. Here is a link to the adapter:

Does anyone know whether I can just use the existing satellite antenna feed to plug into this adapter? It comes with an antenna, but I don't plan on using it and was hoping I can just plug into the existing...

If the radio that came with your Jeep had SiriusXM then yes you can use the yellow antenna plug from the Jeep and plug it into the adapter. You might need to trim the connector a bit for it to plug in.

I am replacing the radio with a pioneer unit, but yes... The original had Sirius...
