Re: Sirius Travel Link 430N

I updated, no problems, the travel link starting work only after I request send a signal on sirius web page (you need create/use your account in sirius web page). or call to sirius and star a journey

But in the wheater section, only one screen, no radar maps

In the Sirius description of Travel Link they note, "Not all features are available with all devices" and in the manual for the 430N these are the features listed:

Weather
• View detailed current conditions at your current location.
• Check extended 12–hour and 5–day forecasts.
• Store a favorite location for quick access to weather conditions and forecasts.

Based on the screen resolution I'm betting the image was not very clear so they decided to not offer that feature. It sucks but at least they never pretended to offer it like they did the original service.

Re: Sirius Travel Link 430N

Do we know if the new 730n works with the standard A2DP BT Stereo profile that is found in the Android and Windows Phones? I am curious if they are having the streaming issues we are having with the 430n.

Re: Sirius Travel Link 430N

I have RHR and lost all services.. I called Sirius and got radio back, but not Travel link and Real Time Traffic ... I got Travel link and Real Time Traffic back by disconnecting the battery, then waiting 20 min. reconnect battery, then call Siriously flawed services and have them ping your radio. I now get weather info. with graphics, ski reports in limited areas, and local fuel prices.. Hooya! Hope this helps others with simular issues. Oh yeah when you call Seriously flawed they will try and sell you a new subscription.. Ha! I got this idea from Chrysler engineers via the dealership after 35 calls to Sirius with no straight answers the cause was vehicle was set for 3 day subscription only and needs to be reset, disconnecting the battery will reset the radio only lost setting was volume setting had to be reset after hookup, EVIC settings all held at my previous settings.

Re: Sirius Travel Link 430N

I downloaded ISO from here:

burned it to CD-RW and followed instruction from here:

430N and Sirius Travel Link

Delay after step 5 is a bit longer than 2 minutes specified in instructions.

Then I left radio on for about 20 minutes and I had data in Travel Link. I did not need to call customer service or register online.

Re: Sirius Travel Link 430N

I too now have Travel Link! Thanks for posting the ISO image and the instructions!! I am too impatient to wait for the CD-ROM in the mail, and have already waited several months to use this feature.

1) Download and burn a CD-ROM using the ISO image.
2) Install the updates: Radio software, Travel Link database, Navigation software.
3) Start using Travel Link ... note that it may take some number of minutes for the data to download. For example, the fuel prices and favorite theater were blank the first time I checked, but were populated a few minutes later.
4) If necessary, use the Sirius web site to send an activation signal, or have their support assist you.

There is a note in the instructions that we will receive an additional free year to our Sirius radio and Travel Link subscriptions!!!
