SiriusXm no sound on 730n/RHR

Hi Guys and Gals,

Odd thing on the way home yesterday. My Sat Radio stop playing music. It was all of a sudden for no reason I could tell. I have traffic, song song info etc but just no sound. It was like my unit was on mute.

To fix it it i am not really sure what happened there too. Called SiriusXm to send a refresh nothing happened, stopped to pick up dinner for me and the wife and boom it work when i got back in and turned the jeep back on. So I am thinking it was over heating and the rest helped or the refresh was the thing.

Has anyone else see this? I have the 730n/RHR.

Thanks,

You did the magic reset... shut the vehicle off and opened and closed the door. It fixes a lot of glitches. The dealer says, think of it as booting your computer.

Not just a Sirius thing... happens on FM station as well. Has happened to me on a few different occassions and when I come back to vehicle it is working again. I also have the RHR (730n).

I hate when that happens. It happens not only to SiriusXM but also FM/AM and whatever else you might need audio for. It's a real pain and has been happening to me for years. The last time, last week, I was listening to the baseball game, then wanted to hear what was on Sirius. Suddenly, no sound. No sound on the radio. No sound on nav. No sound period. The rest of my trip was in silence.

I had this happen when I was coming up from Los Angeles. The ride is way too long to not have any sound, so I pulled off at an exit. Turned the car off. Opened the door to make sure everything shut off. Then waited a minute or two until the entire shutdown took place. When I restarted the engine it worked fine.

It's an irritating bug in the RHR.
