Re: Software Updates to the RHR

Did the new radio come with version 2.120 or did they update it? I have a new radio ordered and I hope it comes with the newest version. Thx

Most (but not all) who have upgraded to v2.120 report similarly favorable results. So there now appear to be fully two independent solutions to vanishing radio and nav settings.
Well, as they used to say in the South, "Hush my mouf'!" Today, after almost exactly three weeks, I got in, punched the driver 1/2 setting button as usual, and -- poof! -- presets gone.

So the EVIC approach with earlier firmware (ours v2.110) obviously helps a lot, but isn't bulletproof. From comments in JG, it appears something similar may apply to v2.120.

Maybe doing both tweaks will do the trick...

My build date was 12/23/11 and it came with the older version. I had to upgrade myself to version 2.120 as my dealership claim that it had the latest version in it already.

Re: Software Updates to the RHR

I loaded software version 2.120 yesterday and was playing around with cool Weather Map. I'm able to see radar, but no fronts. In fact the front icon is even greyed out. Anyone else notice this? Is this another Sirius feature you have to pay for to get it?

That feature was probably temporarily unavailable at the time, or location you were at. Try it again at a different time or in another location and it should work fine. I just did the install and the weather map is totally functional.

Re: Software Updates to the RHR

The only time I was able to see fronts is when the map is zoomed way out (regional view). Sometimes it seems like the info is not available from the satellite.

I got it working. I think you're right, it just doesn't load up from the satellite sometimes. I think you have to be zoomed out all the way to be able to see the fronts.

Re: Software Updates to the RHR

I went to the dealer and told them the problems I was having. They went through the there computer asked me a bunch of questions for 15 minutes and nothing came up.

I told them to do a search for RHR Update and something came up. They ordered the update disk 2.120 for me that day.

I am in vacation in south Florida so I wont be able to get into the dealership till Monday.

Re: Software Updates to the RHR

One issue I am noticing after installing 2.120 on my 2012 Town and Country with VES (Vehicle Entertainment System) is that my son will be watching the entertainment system and we will get out of the car and shut it off while the DVD is still playing. Once we get back to the car, the DVD will be still playing but no sound through the speakers and VES button greyed out and inactive. Need to physically eject DVD and put it back in and lose the progress of where the DVD was playing in order to get sound back into the speakers. This never happened before...

Anyone with with RHR 2.120 with Rear Entertainment option noticing the same?

Re: Software Updates to the RHR

Did the update about 2 weeks ago. So far presets and home address is stable. Really like the weather data (had that previously on a Ford Fusion). Thanks Sox!
