Re: Softwareupdate with USB2 Stick its works!!!!!

I am a Windows person and do not know much about the Mac. But in reply #40 in the following thread:

1. Software Update MyGIG RHR-RHW-RHP Units / Version 2.120

it identifies a free isoburner software that you need to use in order to transfer the .iso file to a DVD. Unfortunately, i do not know if this isoburner software can be used to transfer the file to an USB stick.

Download the .rar file. I run Windows 7 on my computer, and didn't have a program to extract the Becker folder and .CDI files, so I downloaded a freeware program called PeaZip from cnet.com. I used PeaZip to extract the folder and files to a folder on my hard drive, and then copied them to the USB drive. Together, they're slightly larger than 2 GB, so you'll need an appropriately sized USB drive. Plug the USB drive into your RHR and press the start button, and the update process should begin. Good luck.

Re: Softwareupdate with USB2 Stick its works!!!!!

I did this with a 4G drive today. Took about 45 minutes. I haven't had a chance to try but I hope this solves my UConnect issue with the Droid X. Thanks to everyone for their insights.

They should be able to, but will they? I would have said no earlier (as this didn't appear to be "official" yet) but another poster indicated he received a new/replacement radio from the dealership with 2.12 already installed, so I assume this is now an official update. As such, it should be available from the dealership (if they know how to do it).

Ask them?

RHB are built from Mitsubishi, not the same awesome support like the Harmann Becker units!

You must look here for Updates etc.....
