So, in the coming weeks I might swap up the rear door Alpines (SPR-60) with Kickers (CS65).
That sucks to hear. Should have went Focal. Lol

Let us know how you like the new speakers.

Looking to replace my stock front and rear door speakers next weekend. How difficult is it to get to the front door speakers? Basically just pulling the trim off with the trim stick?

Correct. Very easy to get at the doors. To take most advantage of your speakers buy a headunit and amp also.

Re: Spring A/V upgrade project

You need more than a simple trim stick to get the door panels off. I used a door panel removal tool which looks like a mini crow bar. Makes it real easy.

Since I've taken the panels off a few times, I replaced all the clips when changing speakers (again) yesterday.

I'm really digging the Kickers I installed yesterday. Great sound.

Re: Spring A/V upgrade project

A more clearer sound. More detail as well. The Kickers are more sensitive and hit a more wider frequency range than the Alpines.

Re: Spring A/V upgrade project

How do you think those kickers would perform as direct replacements with the factory head unit and amp?

How easy would it be to hook up an amp and keep the oem head unit.
