Anyone in central/eastern MA have a Stealthbox installed in their 11-14 that I could listen to?

Trying to decide if I want to spend the coin, and would love to hear it first.

Stealthbox will be going in this weekend hopefully.

Stealthbox
Audio Control LC2i
JL JX 500/1
JL Remote Bass Knob
4 gauge amp wiring kit

Anyone in MA, just let me know if you want to hear it before buying. Will be creating an install thread early next week and initial impressions.

I'm installing the box myself.

I already have all door speakers swapped out with the Focal ISS series. 6x9's up front and 6.5" in the rear doors. They are being powered by the stock amp and i'm very happy with the upgrade.

The subwoofer is now very under powered, so adding the Stealthbox to round things out.

You'll get mixed reviews here. Some say its useless unless you get a more powerful aftermarket amp, and many will say replacing just the speakers with a better, more efficient speakers was a drastic change.

I'm very happy and it was worth every penny.

Bottom line is that it's clearer, more detailed, and louder than stock. Especially with windows open, the stock speakers would distort before it was loud enough for my liking...I don't have that problem anymore.

I did exactly what Andoskyy is doing. Swapped out the speakers with focal components in the front and coaxials in the rear. Added the stealthbox on a alpine 500 rms amp. Worth every penny. Much louder and clearer. Make sure you add the bass knob if you go this route. That sub will pound if you want it to or fill in perfectly and not disturb passengers with excessive bass. The only regret I have is waiting a year to have made the change. The speaker change was a drastic improvement but really brings out how poor the factory sub performs. I've had my setup in for about 3 months now and put it all in myself.

Greetings,

Glad you like your system and enjoy the sound thru the miles ahead of you.

Yes, the sub will pound, I had it pounding even when the cargo area is full.

It just boils down to how deep you are into sound quality and how far you want to go.

Best for now.:)

I read of a lot of other member's posts on this forum. There are numerous posts with pics and helpful tips. In addition I used to be a car audio and alarm installer about 10 years ago but a lot has changed in vehicle electronics since then. I posted some my install pics on this thread http://www.jeepgarage.org/f155/caug...-the-alpine-speakers-pics-attached-71294.html.

WK2Jeeps.com - 2011-2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee has pdfs of all the interior panel removal diagrams as well as amp wiring diagrams for the loc.

No guide personally. Always done projects myself and figure things out along the way. Nothing is overly difficult on any vehicle if you take your time.

I'll get some pics of my install up next week. Will help, but I won't be posting every clip, nut and bolt I remove.
