Re: Steering wheel audio controls

that's on the right side, the left side center when in SAT radio/radio should cycle the the presets... I noticed mine misbehave, but i addressed to my fat fingers... if it annoys me much more i will tell dealer...

Re: Steering wheel audio controls

If the left side switch center nub is just going "channel up" instead of "next preset," then you need a new button.

Mine was doing that, I had the dealer look at it. They installed a new switch. No more problem (this was a few months ago, it hasn't happened again).

I must have an internal error in the wiring and such. As I've said, I'm on my third switch.

Hopefully the others who are experiencing this problem have better luck than I have had.

Wouldn't that be sweet.... I do have the RER from a late July/August build date... ahh, wishful thinking

Mine is an RER, but since the switch swap fixed it, I'm thinking it's more likely that there's a crappy batch of switches out there. My 2008 Patriot would do the same thing (with a nearly identical switch), but not as regularly. I think it is indeed a switch issue- whoever is making them is asleep at the switch.

Re: Steering wheel audio controls

Thanks everyone for posting comments. It makes me feel less crazy in thinking it's my fault or something. Also reconfirms having the actual issue because I know when I bring it up with the dealer there going to tell me I'm not hitting the button properly or blame human error for it happening and not a faulty switch or wiring. It drives me crazy when it happens. I'll keep you posted.
