Subwoofer wiring in E?

Greetings! I have a 2012 Laredo E package including the base head unit with 6 speakers (no subwoofer). My question is in regards to the wiring automatically in the jeep. Even without the factory subwoofer, how much of the wiring is already there? Put another way, how hard is it to add an aftermarket subwoofer (such as a stealbox & matching amp) to the factory sound system? I'm not looking to replace everything, just add a little kick to what's already there.

Thank you!

You will most likely need a PAC Audio adapter in order to add an aftermarket amp and sub to the stock head unit.

I myself swapped out the stock 130 media center radio for an aftermarket double din headunit. I now have flexibility to do pretty much whatever I want with speakers/amp/sub.

So, in doing this, did you loose your steering wheel controls?

No I used 2 interfaces. One to interface with the Jeep's wiring (PAC C2R-CHY4) and one to interface with the steering wheel controls (PAC SWI-PS).

With regards to the wiring already being there. The only way to find out is to have a look yourself.

Here is a pdf on how to remove interior trim/panels: http://wk2jeeps.com/interior/2011_wk...moval_001E.pdf
