Swapping 14 overland speakers for HK

I'd like to upgrade the speakers from my overland to the HK speakers in the summits.

Has anyone done this and if so what was the cost? If also be curious to know where you found the speakers. Any help is greatly appreciated. I apologize in advance if this has been covered already.

I doubt it would make much of a difference -- if any. It takes a lot more than the speakers.

I'd replace the sub as well if necessary. I've heard people rave about the difference between the two systems. I Know Id have to add some additional speakers from what I've seen in addition to replacing all of my existing speakers. the summit has some in the headliner I think.

Anyway, if anyone has done this lemme know.

Re: Swapping 14 overland speakers for HK

I highly doubt it's the speakers that make's the difference. It's in the amp and processing. Replacing the speakers could also make it worse. Those speakers were designed for that system only -- just like our wonderful fake Alpine ones.

I guess it goes both ways? Replacing the sub only wouldnt do much without replacing all the speakers. I'd have to replace everything to get to where I want to be....

It sounds like 2grand minimum. Am in the ballpark?
