Setting aside the comment that triggered this absolutely side-splittingly hilarious thread, this is a good point, Ryan. It also made me realize that for whatever reason, I never trusted the backup camera in my Rover, but I use it all the time in this Jeep. I especially like the indicators. It is child's play to grease it into parking spots (I prefer backing in when possible). My dealer told me the distances represented by each of the colored sections but I can't recall them. I need to go out and do a field measurement just for my own edification.

With that said...I can wait the friggin' 3 seconds!!!!!!!!!!!

Great , but why should you have to?

The messages can wait till you put the car in drive, or do they expect people to go all day in reverse.

Hey, just be glad you have the current version of the software... on the next update they are going to start adding advertisements - so as soon as you turn on your radio, or put the vehicle in reverse, you will have to watch a 30-second commercial. After the commercial ends you can then continue on your way. Don't ya just love technology?

Whatever happened to using your mirrors? Don't the rear sensors still beep if you are going to hit something, even though you can't see the back up screen?

That would be when I would start looking for someone to pay to fix it just the way I want it.

Why use the mirrors when you get a great view from the backup camera ?

Re: The Back UP Camera feature is set up WRONG from the factory

i understand that you payed for a backup camera, and it should work, but it isnt a safety issue, didnt mean to start anything, but honestly, if it bothers you that much, take it to your dealer

But it does work, exactly as the manufacturer designed it to. It just doesn't work like HE wants it to. That makes it neither a safety issue or a product issue.

Ummm, I thought your whole problem is that you can't see that great view from the backup camera because of the warning screen?
