I would be interested in Milous opinion here, as I have a Summit on order (I'm told not built yet, gateline w/VIN but not yet). I would change it to 730N.

I was told that Jeep will NOT automatically change the order. Only orders that are input starting January12th will get the RHR.

Prior orders will have a $305 credit on the MSRP and will get the RHB Garmin nav radio.

Incase you missed it Milous did reply to another thread where someone asked the same question. His reply was no your Summit will not get the 730N RHR radio unless it was ordered yesterday or later and specified 730N RHR in the order.
I know its not the news you wanted to hear but it sounds like no your Summit will not have the new radio. Chances are your order is beyond where it can be modified so you will have to call the sales manager and re-place your order and have the new radio put in the order or its possible it will now be standard but still needed to be placed on or after jan 12.

I ended up having them re-order me a new car because I wanted saddle and the new radio. I was only a week into my original order anyway so I didnt care.

BTW, I told him that it was available when I dropped by the dealership this morning and after a few hours he called back and complimented my "source" for knowing it was available. We all know who that is, thanks Milous!
After hearing it here on these forums and from Jeep's 800 order status number, I called my dealer to advise him about changing my existing order made last month on a WK2 Overland to include the 730n RHR that should now be available to enter as an option within the dealer's databases. And I mentioned I wouldn't mind creating a new order if need be, just as long as it includes the 730n RHR. But the sales manager informed me the 730n RHR option is STILL not available as an option in their system. He said he even spoke to his rep over at Jeep about this and doesn't know why this information about the RHR has gone public because as far as they can see, it can not be ordered.

So I don't know what the F is going on anymore. Maybe it's just a Northeast problem? Has anybody else had success with their dealer adding the 730N RHR radio to a new order? Or am I simply being dicked over and forced-fed BS by the dealer?

The sales manager at my dealer said the same thing. They said it is not showing up as available for the Grand Cherokee and the only vehicle that it is showing up on is the Chrysler 200. I mentioned to them that some people on here have said they have changed or placed new orders to include the RHR. He couldn't explain the reasoning of this to me. I was wondering the same thing- if it is showing up as available in only some regions. I'm in Louisiana so you know we're last for everything.

I just talked to the Jeep Information Center this morning and they told me that the ability for the Jeep dealership to order the 730n RHR was pushed just last night, so maybe that's why my dealer couldn't see the option. I will have to get in touch with him again today and hopefully he can do something.

Re: The new 730n RHR ready for order yet?

Finally. My dealer just contacted me. He is now capable of choosing the 730n RHR option on my WK2 Overland. Unfortunately, he can't make the adjustment to my existing order that was inputted into the system last month. So he had to create a new order in the system. The cost of the optional RHR (430n is standard) is $465. The new order will also push my delivery back a few weeks. For the latest and greatest radio, I don't mind the wait.

Re: The new 730n RHR ready for order yet?

I just ordered mine this afternoon and also got the RHR. I had the dealer print out the configuration page which shows the RHR listed. Now the waiting begins!

If you have a VON or VIN number you can track the status of your vehicle's build and production at the Jeep Information Center (800.992.1997). Follow the prompts and you get an actual live person really quickly.

But nonetheless, the wait does begin. Hopefully all the snow and salt will be off the roads when mine finally delivers.
