Re: The new 730n RHR ready for order yet?

I really don't see the major difference between these two units. They both appear to be Sirius Travel Link capable and also have the ability to stream music via blutooth from your phone. These are the only two benefits over the 730 RER unit worth anything. And the only major differences between the two appears to be some additional voice command features on the RHR and the NAV interface - Harmon on RHR, Garmin on RHB.

This link describes the differences

The navigation interface preference is really personal preference IMO.

The big value-add features on the RER/RHR are: (a) dead reckoning (b) voice command of navigation, and (c) SIRIUS Traffic.

Those features aren't deal-breakers for me. My deal-breaker was voice command of music, which only the RHB had when I ordered (RER doesn't have it).

However, RHR will add the two missing "value add" features from RHB - (a) voice command of music, and (b) SIRIUS Travel Link.

Basically, if someone wants SIRIUS Traffic or wants to voice control the navigation while in motion, their only option right now is to find one on the lot with RER, or wait for RHR.

I think the RHR offers hands free SMS as well. On a side note, my dealer confirmed that you won't be able to order the RHR for the WK2 until Jan. guess my Xmas present is going to be a couple of months late.

Re: The new 730n RHR ready for order yet?

I noticed several Overlands that are "In Transit" to the Denver areas where the window sticker lists the 730N with an add on price of $305. I wonder if some are starting to make it out of the factory with them?

and yes, I check each dealer's webpage every day looking for a jeep that might match what I ordered

It looks as if the RHB does in fact also have Sirius Travel Link. But cannot activate until January. Take a look at the link I posted above.

Those are still the RER. Every bit of info we've seen says no actual production of RHR equipped vehicles until mid-January.

Sorry... I meant that RHR adds the two features that RER doesn't have, and that RHB does have (voice command of music, and SIRIUS Travel Link).

Thanks Milous. I'm off to the dealership!

Those of you with the current 730n; how does the Harmon navigation stack up? I love Garmin nav, but I want the added features of the new RHR.

For me, the 730n nav has been flawless. I drove through NYC on my way to and from PA and it guided me perfectly through a spaghetti system if highways, bridges, and tunnels without missing a beat.

I've been using GPS nav systems in various forms for 10 years and this one has been the most accurate by far.

Sirius traffic also worked extremely well, routing me around construction areas and accidents.
