With the 430N, a credit of $305 is deducted from the MSRP price. Once the 730N becomes available, the $305.00 will be added back into the MSRP.

Ok now I understand thanks. Now I gotta figure out what I want to do about mine just leave it as is and let the order go through and be surprised when my Jeep shows up in the spring/summer. Or tell them to hold off on ordering it and have them select the new 730 next week. hummmmmm

I do know that the MSRP of my ordered vehicle is subject to change, but its unfortunate that no one knows for sure what radio will be going into Overland built in a few months from now.

So are you confirming that there is no price difference between the 730N RER and the RHR?

Are you sure? I have an order in hand placed 12/27/10 now in "D" status that shows a base MSRP of $41,910 and it's been that number for as long as the 430N has been "standard". Back when the 730N was orderable it was an option line item @ $305. From what you're saying when they change the system to make the 730N standard the base MSRP will go up to $42,215 but if they need to put in the 430N for supply reasons there will be a $305 credit? Or will it be an orderable $305 option like the old 730N was?

I'm confused........

Re: The new 730n RHR ready for order yet?

Well after reading through all the features of the new 730N I kinda of want that. One big reason is I hate the mapping of garmin systems. Looks like it was made by a child where as the 730's mapping is real nice and shows actual detail. Ugh now what do I do my car was ordered yesterday. I guess I could call the dealer and see whatsup.

I didnt see it in the features list but does the new 730N have handsfree SMS? I see that in the 430N.

$41,910 is the price WITH the 730N, which is Standard. If the 430N is substituted, the MSRP is $41,605.

Re: The new 730n RHR ready for order yet?

Well I called my dealership and he did say the order for my Overland was submitted yesterday but what he did was put a note in the system so that next week wednesday when the new 730N is available to order they will add that to my order. Hopefully that is possible and I told him I will call back next week to double check it gets done and see if they say it was successfully done. If not I guess its not the end of the world plus I could always buy a new 730N in the future and swap it in.

Thanks for the updates.

In my experience there is a 100% chance your dealer got off the phone with you and immediately forgot whatever you requested.

Spoke to my dealer today about this as I am about to order a summit. He said they will no longer do the 730 and the 430 is now standard. Of course, I may be alone here, but every dealer in my area seems clueless about anything I ask, so I dont believe him. Any insight?

Your dealer is very misinformed. The 730N RHR will be going into all vehicles that formerly offered the 730N RER. It has been available to order for awhile now in other Chrysler vehicles (like the Challenger) and per my posted info will open up for Jeep models (Wrangler/Liberty/Grand Cherokee) next week.
