thinking of having dealer add 430N

I'm about to take delivery of a base Laredo with the 130. I was thinking of adding aftermarket head unit. Now I'm having second thoughts on doing the aftermarket stuff. If I request the dealer to add the 430N with backup camera, I can include that in the financing without having to shell out money for the separate purchase of parts.

I'm trying to get an idea of what I would be paying extra for having the dealer do the add?

Costs $1,845 on this site. Then you have to pay for installation. So it would cost around $2,000 I would think.

Ouch! Thanks for the link. Maybe I need to reconsider the idea and do the install myself, might have to start looking at the aftermarket install threads.

Re: thinking of having dealer add 430N

I added the non camera no Nav 430 RBZ and installed it myself (10 min) in my Laredo. I purchased the unit on Ebay for $500. It was taken out of 2012 Grand Cherokee.

@rangergiants - you forgot the camera/harness and the nav harness. Those alone are a few hundred. with install the price is closer to $3000.

I had the same dilemma a few weeks ago when i purchased mine. That's why I settled on the RBZ from Ebay.

Man, the sales dude is gonna hate me (or love me for bigger commission). There is a Laredo X on the lot, same color as the one I was going to get. The X sticker is 37,220.

Checking out the price paid thread to see what price I might be looking at if I pick this.

There is a nicely configured X for $3720 off sticker. Has the 430 and camera I was planning to add. Sigh... decisions.

Re: thinking of having dealer add 430N

I personally would have went with higher end after market everything. radio, amps, speakers, Nav ( maybe in radio maybe dash mount ), If it meant I had to wait a few more months to save up for my deired system I would wait. Including Alarm system.

That might be perfect for you although it doesn't have Navigation. Good luck with your decision whatever you end up doing.

X package includes a lot as I'm sure you know including the 9 speaker with amp and subwoofer alpine system.
