There is nothing you can really remove that isn't fundamentally needed.

You can only REPLACE existing icons. You can't add in more.

I would like a button for the Backup Camera in the Tool Bar but there is nothing I would give up for it.
I never said that you could add anything... only that you had the ability to change it to display the ones you wanted.

What seat controls are you talking about?

The Apps button is how you get to everything else. Including settings. Not even sure that one can be replaced.

I like the phone icon so I can hit redial. But it is the least important.

Re: TIPs, Tricks, Differences for uConnect 8.4AN 2017

does anyone have any tips for using Pandora? Mine rarely works. Ive grown so annoyed with it that I document on my phone when I last restart it, opened or closed the pandora app, started the jeep with the app open/closed, open/closed the uconnect app, or opened/closed another music app, etc. I cannot find any correlation. I've grown accustom to just winging it and hoping it works before I just use bluetooth and open the app on my own. Sad that this is an option and I can rarely use it.

Re: TIPs, Tricks, Differences for uConnect 8.4AN 2017

I don't use it that often. But it has worked each time I have. In 2014, 2015 and 2017.
Worked on Android and iOS.

Note that you do lose that feature after a year is up. Unless you pay the monthly service fee. So I never got that hooked on those features because I have no plan to pay service fee.

Actually, the settings are accessed via the settings button, not the apps button. The ignition has to be on to show the settings button, though.

The apps button, since it leads to useless apps, is pretty useless.

The easiest way to get to settings on 2017 is to hit the "Uconnect Apps" button in the middle. And I suspect it can't be replaced. It gets to a LOT more than just apps. About 2 pages worth of iCons.

There is more than one way to get to many things.

It's different than it was on my 2015.

Oh I like having the phone icon because it gives me the status of the phone, Bluetooth, battery, signal strength. All in one icon.

The two icons I'd like to have always there is the Backup Camera and a Direct link to Settings. But there is nothing I want to give up for those shortcuts.

Turns out there is a Backup Camera button on the Seat/Steering wheel Controls page. So it's only one extra click for the back up camera.

My 2016 has this feature and I agree it is useless. Maybe if they combined the radio and media buttons then I could put something I use more frequently. I would give up the climate button since there are physical controls except the climate button is the only way to get to MAX A/C!

Exactly.

Overall though, it's still a great system.
