Turn off music/leave on nav?

Hi guys and gentleladies,
I apologize if this has been addressed before, but does anyone know of a way to silence the radio while keeping navigation on/active? (model 730N) Of course, I realize I can turn the volume all the way down, but I was wondering if there was a way to just end radio play without shutting down the whole system. Thanks!

Re: Turn off music/leave on nav?

As you mentioned.. Turn the radio volume to zero and leave it on nav/map. In theory the radio portion is "off" just not electronically "off" as its still receiving transmission. No way to power it off as far as I'm aware, there is only one on/off and thats for the unit as a whole.

Welcome to the forums.

Re: Turn off music/leave on nav?

Put it in CD mode with no disc in the unit, or put it in Hdd mode and press pause. In Hdd mode it will start playing again each time you restart the engine.

Re: Turn off music/leave on nav?

Selecting aux as the audio input also works well. I often use this trick.

Re: Turn off music/leave on nav?

As mentioned above, I just turn the volume to zero.
