Both of our WK2's with 13.19 are doing pretty well; still watching for bugs, though ("bug searching" is something I do in my spare time... see my avatar).

Now, if the upper RH corner of the Navigation display could show distance and time to destination, they would be on to something really good.

Mine does that. If I tap the soft-key in the upper right hand corner it will drop down the following options: Time of Arrival, Time to Destination, and Distance. You can then tap which option you want and it will be displayed.

Now I have to admit, I have not checked that since I was updated to 13.19. I'm just assuming that it is still there. Did you have it before the update and then lost it with 13.19?

I am thinking more of a simultaneous readout of time and distance, as on my 2005 and 2009 GC's.

Many thanks,

as I remember--yes. But that was sort of cumbersome because if I am unsure of the actual city where a location might be it is a pain. In the case that I cited the location was not found because it was 20 yards inside a subarbs borders even tough within the general geographical area of where I was searching and within 5 miles of my location. . Most major cities in the US have upto 30 suberbs so google seach is far easier to use. Yelp seems to be stale technology. But,that said once found, the address transfer to the navigation system goes well.

I've seen a number of subscribers that have had no issues with 13.19 -- however, in my RA4, the SD card media playback is still almost unusable - I can't see how any even mildly thorough Q/A cycle could have let this slip out to customers

They obviously don't put an sd card in every vehicle and listen to it.

Although I would have preferred a cd player tied to a hard drive, the folks here dragged me into the 21st century. I copied all my CDs to sd and have been listening to them since March, with 13.10, 13.15 and 13.19. If the QC folks had tested my Jeep they would have been satisfied ... I am.

You didn't mention what makes it so bad. Sure it's just not your choice of music.

I too copied all my CDs to a USB drive and they seem to play just fine in my 14 Overland with whatever UConnect version it was built with on 7/15. But like Bill said, I did like the CD player and hard drive in my 2011 GC. Just found out that my neighbor 4 houses down from me bought my 2011. Have to stop by and ask him if my 650 songs are still on the hard drive. Al

Our systems are not internet enabled, so unfortunately we're never going to be able to use these alternative options :-(

Many thanks for your advice though.

Cheers,
Steve

Re: UConnect 13.19.0 - Unofficial

My second radio with a twice dealer-installed 13.19.0 is acting up, with presets disappearing from the radio, from the Security and Warnings menu as well as on the Display menu. Things like the navi in the cluster; the FAR setting for the collision warning, the blind retinal spots and the tilt mirrors in reverse, and so on became unchecked and would not stay click. Took quite a few "reboots" to make it work. This Jeep is quickly becoming one of the worsts car I have ever driven/owned.
