Hadn't thought to try an external drive... With 80 gigs you should be able to drive to the moon and back without repeating a song!

Or drive from OZ to here, including the boat ride

The Maxtor I'm using is not a "friendly" drive either. It's extremely power hungry for a 2.5" external, but the Jeep has plenty of juice available via the USB port.

As I said in my intro post... bring out your old unloved hard drives!

Cheers,
Steve

Good Point. The Jeep actually has a very strong Power Supply on the USB port. It can even charge an iPad which most straight up USB ports on computers can not.

Thumbs up Re: UConnect 13.19.0 - Unofficial

When I was looking to purchase my new 2014 Jeep GC, I did a ton of reading on this site and I finally traded in my older 2005 GC Lorado for a 2014 GC Limited. This site is just awesome and the amount of information here is sometimes overwhelming but keep up the good job!

This is exactly what you need to do. I've been using my card for months now with no problems.

Re: UConnect 13.19.0 - Unofficial

I have not yet tried the SD card as still searching thru Sirrius, but yesterday I tried the Bluetooth streaming of Pandora. Although the audio was good there appears to be a volume The Bluetooth connection on the Samsung S4 phone showed 4G and 4 bars and the phone calling is clear. Also If the phone is plugged into the USB port, does that fact rob power to the Bluetooth. I am using 13.19.0

I found out that Bluetooth volume can be controlled from my iphone the same way i would control my headphones.

One day i found myself wondering why volume is so low. Apparently iphone volume was all the way down. I moved it up all the way up and was good to go.

I would expect for volume to be on max for digital output and not controllable. Maybe this is just iphone works with bluetooth audio.

That was what I tried after running the volume on the Uconnect was at max but found that the Android S4 had the volume at max also. I was wondering if chargiing thru usb port had anything to do with problem???

On my Android device after it is synced with the radio I simply push up and down the volume controls and it changes Bluetooth transmit volume to the radio.

I wonder if it got confused as when I entered the Jeep the phone was in Bluetooth mode and paired with the Uconnect, but when I plugged in the USB the display reflected media USB but no sound, so I touched the bluetooth softkey and the Pandora started playing through the Phone/BT connection...but the volume was weak. The phone when making calls through BT has the same volume levels as the Sirrius Radio. The media BT was set at 38 which was max but the radio plays at about half that volume. Possibly since the USB cable was charging the phone at the time I need to see if there is a differance between volume when charging and volume on battery. Anybody else tried this? Samsung S4 4Glite network 4 bars
