Re: UConnect 13.19.0 - Unofficial

In all fairness, it was suggested to some folks here that they reinstall if something didn't seem right after the install.

But aren't they your bread and butter?

BTW - I got my recall letter today. It came right after the complimentary oil change letter.

What is this trams flash?? Is it specifically for the 6 cylinder or 8 cylinder to correct any known issues?

NONE! of the dealers I work with would turn someone away or not do an update right because they didn't read, or couldn't find a TSB.... Can you imagine me standing in the service department

but to be fair, the current update still says install 13.19.0 for most concerns. It is still way more stable than prior versions.

For those that haven't been able to get the speed limit announcement to work, I noticed that if I turn navigation audible guidance prompts off, the speed limit announcement no longer works. I use Nav for my drive to and from work every day with Sirius traffic so it reroutes me if there's a wreck, but I don't want to hear all the spoken directions since 90% of the time I'm taking my standard route.

So you may want to make sure that the audible prompts are turned on in the navigation settings and see if this makes any difference for you with the speed limit announcements.

Audible prompts are turned off right now, turning them on should fix the problem!

Thanks!

Re: UConnect 13.19.0 - Unofficial

Last Friday, I got Transmission flash and HVAC flash by a dealer. After flash update, I am noticing that no more "fuel saver display" option in my UConnect screen. (Mine is V6 model, so it doesn't have "fuel saver" functionality). Also, I am not seeing "selection check-mark disappear" issue again. Once I select some option, there is a check-mark unless I click it again.

Some of the option settings in the Radio are to do with a command being sent to an external Module. If the Module does not respond in the set time, it unchecks because it did not take. Some of the Module updates are very likely to fix these issues and what is reported to the radio as being "available"

Re: UConnect 13.19.0 - Unofficial

That helps understand things a little.

Would that apply to settings that randomly uncheck, as well as those that won't stay checked when initially pressed?

First part yes, and sometimes the check will come back shortly after (common problem with automation systems waiting for a response from an external device)

Second part, I suppose if the module is on the high speed bus and reponds almost instantly and or sometime I know they will grey out when they cannot reach the module at all. This I have not seen as much as the first one and especially related to some "Comfort" settings.
