Re: UConnect 13.19.0 - Unofficial

I see a lot of similar and repeat issues. Settings checking themselves, unchecking themselves, settings appearing, settings disappearing...I've frankly had enough. I pay too much for this vehicle to behave like this and for me to live from update to update. Add in the folding mirrors not working, tranny slipping at low speed, rear camera lines disappearing and getting a fish eye view, easy exit/entry no longer working, and the early warning braking and brake message kicking on for NO reason while driving in a parking lot. Since many of the UConnect settings are safety related, this vehicle shouldn't be on the road. I'll never trust what it's telling me ever again.

I've started taking video and keeping a log. If you haven't started taking video of the issues you all are having, I suggest you do so. Start keeping track how much time you spend dealing with it. Video taping, logging issues, driving to the dealer, driving to the rental car place, etc.

I didn't buy a Summit to deal with this. Horrible decision.

What has your dealer said about these problems?

"We'll call you." And I said, "Good luck." I actually just dropped it off and picked up a rental car. I don't expect to see it for at least 2 weeks.

What's going to happen is we'll dance this little dance 3 times. They'll say they won't be able to re-produce the tranny or early warning brake issues (two biggest issues in my opinion) and then I'll have to retain an attorney. I've only videotaped what I can and I have a lot of video. Hard to video tape something like the early warning brake coming on for an instant and the tranny clinking and feeling it thud through your seat.

You guys should read the Edmund reviews. It's frankly scary as hell. Someone has had their vehicle replaced once for a tranny failure and they're now on their 3rd radio in the new vehicle. If I'm offered my money back, that's what I'm doing. I wanted to love this vehicle so badly because it has everything I wanted, less the problems. I'll go buy a "trouble free" vehicle like a Honda or Toyota.

Honda and Toyota are not trouble free on their launches... trust me there.

That being said, you should get your issues resolved. Have you had your radio replaced and what is the current version your radio is running?

My Honda Accord V6 2008 got engine replacement after 1 year, front and rear break pad replacement only after 3 months, starting motor replacement in 2 years, both two remote keys replacement, rear deck re-install, ecu update 3 times and so on..... This is the worst car in my life.... I was told Accord 2011, 2012 are almost trouble free. Model changed vehicles always come with some problem.

I wrote "I regret buying Accord, not Camry" on DriveAccord.net, but they replied "Camry has its own problem, too"

GC2014 has completely redesigned electronics. I hope Jeep will solve it soon.

The more complex the cars become, the more problems they will have, especially with brand new technology.

Lexus is actually a higher priced division of Toyota.

They have problems at some point; how they resolve those problems is more important.

We know Lexus is the higher end version of Toyota the issue is that they both have known problems

Please pardon my misreading of the earlier post... I had it the other way around.

This is a fact, and especially at new product launches! I would much rather have a radio issue though than a rear control arm steering me off the highway
