Re: UConnect 13.19.0 - Unofficial

I had my radio replaced twice. First radio would not connect via Bluetooth and the second radio completely shut down. My now 3rd radio is working perfect (knock on wood) and is version 13.31.6.

Not a 'clunk'...just very harsh up/down shifts particularly in 'stop and go' traffic and the inability to get good downshifts when attempting to pass or access a highway at high speed. With the original tranny update the harsh up/down shifts are gone and now I go from about 1900 rpms to ~ 3200 rpms when I step on it.. I think that may be a bit too much of a downshift, but it is better than it was before...especially in eco mode.

I did. That's what I'm saying. The Auto-On Ventilated Seat on Vehicle Start check box only stays on in ACC mode. When I start the car the check marks go away. When I try to re-check them they only stay on for a second and then the check mark goes away. Anyone have any ideas?

Re: UConnect 13.19.0 - Unofficial

POI on nav was greyed out this morning. Then the "Vehicle Phone Needs Service" message and red light came on. The message and red light went off after a minute or so, but POI still not working from the touch screen.

I was able to do the input using the voice command.

On a side note ... I have a new computer with a minor problem with distorted text. I went on the net and found this is a problem that has gone back a couple of years with no solution. I decided not to bother complaining about it. But, when I got a courtesy call from HP just to make sure I am happy with the computer I mentioned it. She said she never heard of this problem but would have it looked into. Since then I've had a tech come to the house to change a video card, have had 3 or 4 techs call me, with one calling back tonight to try to solve it. None of these folks ever heard of the problem.

It got me wondering if HP's techs and Jeep service managers get the same "Head in the Sand" training.

That's the issue with hp and other computer makers,to save cash they don't only use their specific components, they use other makers and manufacturers and sometimes there's a conflict because of that. That's the cost saving measure for almost everything made these days.

wow, we had an HP. 1 year and 18 days after purchase it died. completely. I called HP and they said they were sorry. That it had a known defective motherboard and it would need to be replaced, but, unfortunately the motherboard has been discontinued (because of the defect) and there is no replacement. We are sorry.

thats it. They refused to replace it, or even offer a discount on a new one. I have not nor will i ever purchase ANYTHING from HP. even paper.

on the other end of the scale, My nook... original version.. died almost 3 years after i bought it. Nook replaced it because it was a known defect and they were surprised it lasted that long. Since then i have bought 2 more

service is everything.
