Due to some issues with complaints filed with Mega we have needed to move the software to our Premium Member section. I have left all of the information below for reference should you need to visit your dealer.

I have labeled this as an Unofficial release simply because I do not act as a representative of the provider of the software. I will as usual also caution you that you should *Use this at your own risk* and if you are more comfortable you may visit your Local Dealer and Reference STAR Case # S1308000211 and your dealer will load the software under warranty.

You must know the option code of your radio in order to get the correct update. The following fixes are in this update and specifically in speaking with a team of Sirius Radio engineers deals with some problems that have been reported in the Grand Cherokee. There has been site visits by Sirius XM to dealers in order to verify the Sirius Radio fixes.

Thanks to Milous for providing the fix list:

Primary Enhancements:
Corrects screen wording errors
Corrects HD default to "on" at startup
Navigation performance enhancements
Improved radio response times
Corrects battery drain due to failed radio registration
Corrects Voice recognition would not start correctly
Improved HD radio seek
Corrects Driver’s memory function causes SiriusXM failure
Improved SiriusXM Performance
Corrects radio heated seat controls
System stability improvements
Corrects for “please insert USB” at boot mode
Improved user experience at high ambient temperature
Prevents GPS module failure

Other Fixes:
Corrects loss of vehicle navigation location
Corrects incorrect compass direction
Fixes Lockup and or Shutdown of Touch Screen (RA3/RA4)
Additional behaviour updates directly from customer feedback

*** I have not verified if this has any impact on the Remote Start A/C issues and was told "not likely but not sure" ***

This will be my last post of unreleased software openly to JeepGarage, any future software releases including for other radios etc. will be available to JeepGarage supporters only. If there are Premium Members currently of JeepGarage that are also RAM owners I have posted the 2013 RAM instructions in a Premium Members thread. This is a great community and I personally know that these communities require support. This is my little way of a soft nudge to encourage that.

Unlike the prior release this is universal to either a MAC or PC as it is the RAW file. The instructions will seem very familiar to others who did 13.15.4 but you will see the file is not zipped in this case. Please read and follow the instructions I do not want to answer questions for things listed in the instructions. Please make sure to use a BLANK USB STICK. If you used this stick for the other update MAKE SURE YOU DELETE everything on the stick including the LOG file. I know this update will fit on a smaller memory stick.... DO NOT DO THIS, follow the instructions 1GB is the minimum and there is a reason as there is read/write during the update procedure.

Lastly when you read the instructions you will see that this is a customer authorized update. IF the update fails you can take it to your dealer and please know THIS WILL NOT FIX HARDWARE ISSUES. If there is a hardware issue with your radio this won't fix it and you will still need to have your radio looked at by a CDJ Dealer. I have noted that this fixes Freezing and Restarts of the Touch Screen HOWEVER I also know there were a small number of radios with hardware problems that this update will not fix but if you have these issues it is certainly what the dealer will attempt prior to any radio replacement being ordered.

*** Software Upgrades have been posted to the Premium Members section ***

POST UPGRADE NOTES:

-You may notice in the update process or after the update that "APPS" and or "SETTINGS" are interchangeable. Post update a "Registered" system will revert back to "APPS" once connected for a period of time.
-Shortly after the update is completed on an activated radio it is possible there may be a restart of your system separate from the update as APPS reconnect and or update.
-There appears to be a number of performance updates including to the FOBs detection and association. If you see unusual changes in presets on your radio, check which fob you are using.
-Not all fixes and or upgrades to the software are listed specifically. If you have a concern with a functionality of your radio it may have been addressed but not listed here.

Randomly today I noticed the welcome screen where you have the ability to press accept came and went super fast. I normally have opportunity to press the ventilated seats on before it goes to the main screen. Today not so much. Rapidly moves to uconnect screen. New OTA update? Coincidence or not the ventilated seats do not default on anymore as well today.

Regarding the interior lights staying on when the liftgate is open:

To recap, the first time I noticed they were still on, it was at least 30 minutes since I opened the lift gate.

I timed it later, and they turned off exactly 15 minutes later.

When loading up the food stuffs (gotta keep the critters away) later after dark, the interior lights turned off after only 60 seconds. I tried it with vehicle locked, vehicle unlocked, open the liftgate with the handle, open it via remote. No matter what, 60 seconds.

Timed it again th next morning and again, 60 seconds.

Not sure if the vehicle knows the battery is getting low and shortens the off delay, or my jeep is just goofy, or I myself am going insane (camping with a 2 yr old can do that)...

Curious how long the interior lights stay on for others when the liftgate is up...

aaaughh!

Just got a call abck from my Jeep dealer.. they said that i have to disconnect the battery for 20 minutes to reset the radio.. then see if the issues happen again BEFORE they order a new radio. At least he was cool enough to say "If you want to do it yourself, then go ahead and let me know"

would take 15 mins to get to the dealer... would rather do it myself.

Any input on this?

(and the battery is under the seat correct?)

Stumped me on that one lol I haven't been willing to try that yet just got my uconnect system working how I wanted a few days ago. Give it a try be my test dummy instead of Chryslers lol should I post the try this at your own risk I take no responsibility if your shit blows up. :) I want you to get a new radio so we can see if chrysler is using updated hardware or driver or if they just got a batch of bad M2M modules

Damit StaticFX you didn't want to be my test dummy? Lol don't worry about the modem reset now you just did it. I actually think you will find that your radio and aircard will run much better now because the way that these updates are applied the system never flushes out the cache from what I've seen. Come to think of it maybe you didn't reset the modem I forgot the M2M run of very low current and the radio might even have battery in it so give it a try. After I reset my modem I haven't gotten a phone needs service message not saying it will fix your problem but worked for me. I never got the phone needs service message until the latest update though so who knows.

Don't know if this is pertinent to the conversation here, but after having my Jeep for three months, I realized I never tried the Assist button. So this afternoon I pushed it and got the three selections on the screen. I touched Uconnect Access Care and waited. An error screen came up that said I wasn't registered, and gave a number to call. I know I was registered, so remembering that I had read somewhere in the forum that reinstalling the Uconnect apps in the App menu might reload my registration, I went to that screen. I chose the button to reinstall all apps and followed the prompts. The prompts told me I would see the screen go black, all of my app data would be lost, the radio would reset, and to wait for everything to come back. Mind you, I've never had a red light on the mirror, or any other problems that were significant, so I was a little leery when the screen went black. When I previously loaded software version 13.19 I briefly had a "phone needs service" warning, but that never has returned. When my radio rebooted I checked everything I could think of, and nothing was changed. Nav, settings, and everything else was fine. I again tried the Assist button and selected Uconnect Access Care and was immediately connected to a very pleasant customer service rep who asked what she could do to help me. I told her I wasn't having any problems, but after three months thought I better check the Assist button and see if it worked. She laughed and said that was a first, and we chatted for a while and wished each other a good day. Anyway, I don't know if the radio was completely deactivated and reset or what, but all is working well. Sorry for the long post, but I thought someone might be interested. :)

Jack,

That's good info. I had the same thing after the update. I called the number and they reset it overnight. If it happens again I'll try the method you described.

Something else seems to have happened since the update. Awhile back I was getting a slight knock accelerating from a stop. Somebody mentioned it might be the hill assist. I went into the evic and shut it off. Now I can't find the option to turn it back on. Turning it off didn't stop the knock, but it is no longer there, so I figured I'd turn hill assist back on.

Jack,

Wait until tomorrow sometime and report back if it stayed that way. Mine did the first day as then was back at square 1.
Here's an update. Lost registration again today, so the app reload was just a temporary fix. Called the Uconnect support number in the "not registered" window. CSR tried to tell me it was because of my cellphone . Told him to put me through to his supervisor. The supervisor was much better informed. She opened a ticket, and said an update would be pushed to my radio in the next 24 hrs., and she would call in the next day or two to follow up. She said it's a common issue where the radio's registration isn't for the full Uconnect Access bundle, which it should be. We'll see what happens in the next few days. I'll let you know. Also lost Yelp when I reloaded the apps, but it's back today. (Oh joy!)

Thought someone said the update gives you Bing back. I still have Yelp after successful update to 13.19.0. What does everyone else have for search engine after updating?

#800 ·
Haven't tried "Launch" - I tried "Yelp Search" since "Bing Search" would launch Bing. Bing also showed up in the Apps, where Yelp doesn't.

I'll try it at lunch, not that I'll use it ;)

Ok, just an update... people who have done the 13.19.0 and still have little hiccups. Try the battery pull! Unhook the battery for 20+ mins... I have to say this thing is responding even faster now.

(now that i have posted this.. it will crash hard the next time i drive it! LOL)

A Factory reset after the reload could be helpful?? I never did this after my Ice Cream Sandwich to Jelly Bean upgrade and I hade some issues with my wifi and cell not flipping back and forth automatically. Did a factory reset on my phone and it works like a champ now.

After a period where everything seemed to be working properly with 13.19, I now am having minor problems with voice command. It seems that it takes about fifteen minutes after starting the vehicle before there is any response from the VR button on the wheel. Previously, this worked perfectly. I'll give it a day or so to see if it clears up and then decide whether to call the dealer, UConnect or try the battery disconnect.
