Bill while I understand your point, the point to me is that it doesn't work like it should. My best friends 96 accord has accurate and immediate temperature read out.

If the jeep is off for more than 4 hours it does too. Anyway, they are changing it to be more like you want.

My Acura wasn't instant, but it was a lot quicker than the Jeep. I garage my car and the Acura would take about a mile before the setting changed. Where do they put the sensors that the heat a car generates just sitting in the sun doesn't affect the reading?

I've been out and about showing a few homes and the airport tweeted it's 115 at 2pm. My car shows 100. Fail

Re: UConnect 13.19.0 - Unofficial

I thought since I was at the dealer anyway I would have them check for the update. Good thing I copied the star case number down and gave it to the, Of course it took the 20 minutes to find the CD that was still sitting the service managers office. Then another 20 minutes to tell me that they couldn't load the software because 1. I didn't have a CD player and 2 because it wasn't for my radio. I told them that it was and they had to use a jumpdrive. They still insisted it wasn't for my radio (I have the 8.4AN). I just brought it home and loaded it myself. Apparently they cant read instructions.

The update from 13.15 to the 13.19 went smoothly and no issues. My registered radio even came back up with Yelp on boot. No issues noted.

That whole water freezes issue... I'd like my car to tell me if its getting close to freezing right now, not whatever the temperature was 4 hours ago.

Seems like Chrysler is opening themselves up for liability if the car says its 40 but its 30 outside. They would be better off just displaying -- until it has adjusted to the ambient temp. Although this is surprising as my 2001 VW didn't seem to have any issue adjusting quickly to the outside temp.

Re: UConnect 13.19.0 - Unofficial

UPDATE: I had my 14 GC overland with 8.4AN in the shop today for a replacement radio. They told me it went well and was all good to go and was working fine. Upon leaving the shop, i toggled throught the analog and digital speedo. The numbers on the analog disappeared and just the needle moved. I turned around to the dealership and they hooked up the WiTech and supposedly reset the system and put it "to sleep". When they restarted the vehicle everything was working (at that time). I drove home (1.25 hours) and at about 50 min after leaving the interface went black and I had to do a hard reset (held both mute and tune buttons for a few seconds). I placed a call to my case manager at uconnect but dont expect a call back until next week.

WHY CANT THEY JUST MAKE A PRODUCT THAT WORKS!!! I never had a problem with my Nissan or Toyota.

So, they said it was software and fixed it... not, then they said it was hardware and fixed it.. not! Also, both the service manager and sales ppl said that they havent seen this problem yet but the mechanic spilled the beans and said that he has worked on a few of these issues already!

GO CUSTOMER SERVICE!
GO QUALITY!
GO far away from this product!

Re: UConnect 13.19.0 - Unofficial

the more I drive the car with this upgrade, the more I regret it. There's the ocassional phone error message, navi now does NOT recognize ANY Verbal command and the radio now defaults to a random channel on FM instead of the last input SXM. on top that and seemingly unrelated, I now have condensation in my headlights. This update didn't do anything for me except making the experience worse.

Somethings not right. I know the 1998 Accord EX V6 didn't have an external temp gauge, and that was their best model, so I'm pretty sure the older generation 96 Accord didn't have it either. But I've been wrong before.

Re: UConnect 13.19.0 - Unofficial

Well, installed the update a few days ago. Was working great till I got in my Jeep to drive home from work. When I started the Jeep there was no volume coming out of the speakers. Checked the volume and it was at 12, but still no volume. Any ideas on what happened? Do you think it has to do with the update? I've only had the Jeep for 3 weeks and it has less than 500 miles. I was thinking about re-installing the update. Any tips?

Reinstalling the update can fix problems but usually things that you noticed after the update. There have been a couple of reports of volume knob issues but not exactly what you describe. It is possible this may be a single time issue but see what you are running again tomorrow and let us know.
